Let me just say, that although the dentists are quite capable, I have to question the staff, in particular the administrative staff. First of all, when I first called the Bellevue office to get some billing things straightened out, the woman who answers the phones is very argumentative, and even went as far as giving me her wrong name. None of the women who answer the phones, whether at the Omaha or Bellevue office ever identify themselves. This is something that is usually taught in the medical community...I know from experience. The woman in Bellevue told me her name was Rebecca, when later on I found out it's actually Pam. She refused to allow me to talk to anyone else other than her, she wouldn't allow me to talk to her supervisor. She told me that I would have to talk to Dr. Rakes. I asked for his voice mail, I was told he didn't have one. That seems to be pretty absurd. All doctors have voice mail.
This office is trying to collect a debt from my daughter through their collection agency when lawfully they can't. I filed bankruptcy Jan 2010, and Dental Specialties was listed as one of my creditors. Not only that, the office visits are over 4 years old, actually dating back from 2007. According to my attorney, there is a statute of limitations of 4 years.
The office also denies receiving a notice from the Bankruptcy Court when I have proof that they were notified. As far as their staff and their billing practices go, I will never promote this office to anyone.
I have reported them to the BBB, and Dr. Rakes gave false information in his feedback.
I've lost total respect for this office.
