I've been brushed off by other doctors regarding issues that I have. Dr. Phillips always has taken his time with me and offered a variety of treatment options, explanations of each as well as pro's and con's of each. I was diagnosed with a hiatal hernia that I was told was "mild" by another doctor, he gave me an exam and scheduled me for surgery because it wasn't a "mild hernia" at all. I was later diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis, and I got more information from Dr. Phillips, my family doctor than my specialist (who really only told me what was going on while I was on anesthesia) and what I should be doing to reduce symptoms. If I can't get into my specialist when I'm having issues, I see Dr. Phillips because I know if he thinks its serious enough, I'll be seeing someone immediately. His entire office treats you like you're their family members. Great doctor, great staff, and I trust this man with my life.

I had to wait two weeks just to see Dr. Phillips. I had not been to a doctor in five years and I needed a new general practitioner that was close to work. I also needed help for back pain that I had for 10 years, caused from playing football my whole life, all the way through college. Dr. Phillips treated me like I am a pill junkie when I told him I could not sleep at night due to extreme back pain caused from playing college football ten years ago. He told me to lose weigh and dismissed me. I had to leave work to go to the emergency room five days later because my back was spasming so badly. I got an X-Ray and was then diagnosed with degenerative disc disease. My back still hurts badly as I am waiting for two more weeks to attend physical therapy prescribed by my new doctor. Also, the CAT scan Dr. Phillips scheduled for me was denied by my insurance because I needed to go through physical therapy first. Dr. Phillips just ordered a CAT scan, told me to lose weight, and sent me on my way. Thanks Doctor Phillips. I know now that you obviously have no idea what it is like to play every snap during four years of college football, on top of being a competitive weight lifter my whole life. Dr. Phillips should review his Hippocratic oath a few times. I sure I hope I never become so cold and arrogant in my old age.
