I would have to give 0 stars for the billing department of this dental office. It has been 2 months since they overcharged me on my co-pay and have still not received my refund. Latest status is it will be an additional 3-4 weeks for me to receive my money even though they have been paid by the insurance carrier for a month
The dental services themselves were excellent just not the billing department or office staff

Its obvious when a member of the staff has written a favorable review about the practice to ease the blow of a negative one. If I were a person nervous about seeing a Dentist, I would walk out the minute I meet the people working at the front desk. On the day of my visit there were two ladies at the desk, and another one sitting in the corner with her back turned to all of the action. I proceeded to the desk, signed in, and waited for the usual greeting that most customers would expect when they enter a business that offers a service for a fee. There wasn't a "Good Morning" or any other type of greeting. As a matter of fact, my presence wasn't even acknowledged! Nobody even looked up at me! I was simply asked what the name on my account was, and was told that someone would be with me momentarily. However, once I made it to the back my experience was a lot better. My advice to the owner / Doctor would be to get some people in the front who look and act like they enjoy their jobs, and know how to welcome your patients. They are the first impression of your business to anyone walking through the door. I would also hire an office manager if you do not already have one. I'm guessing that you don't, because any office manager worth his or her salt would ensure that issues such as greeting patients would never arise. In fact, in most dental offices that I've visited, the office manager actually greets you and ensures you that a member of the staff will take care of you. No such luck on my visit! I've also noticed that there seems to be a high turnover when it comes to employees there. There are always new faces when I walk through the door. This doesn't look good to patients! High turnover rates often lead patients to assume that the office isn't a good place to work, or there is something wrong with the hiring process. Both of which are management issues! It doesn't matter what spin you put on it when I ask where someone is....patients aren't dumb! The professionals in the back are awesome, but your front desk may be depriving potential customers from ever meeting them or ever coming back by not extending the most simple courtesy there is.
