I've never had to wait too long. Although I have never had much to complain about I know that they always adhere to the customer is always right policy here. They take every complaint very seriously and strive to ensure that clients leave satisfied with their visit each and every time. Not only do they never postpone my appointment, they always try to get me in as soon as possible. I love that I can always get an appointment right away, and I never have to worry about them rescheduling it. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time. Dr. Nicola made me feel very comfortable through my entire surgery process. I have had AMAZING results and feel 1000 x's better. I would definitely go see him if you have any knee troubles, he has been great.

Everything they originally told me they would be able to do for me, they ended up not being able to do. I felt lied to. They left me completely alone for a long time and I became very nervous. Whenever I called with a question or concern, the staff made me feel stupid for calling. I avoided calling because I didn't want to feel stupid. I would never refer any of my family and friends to go here. If I had know how terrible they were I never would have gone. I was completely distressed during my appointment. I was unable to relax and ended up having to leave.

In detail, my experience with Dr. Nicola and his staff was not the best unfortunately. He came highly recommended by my attorney for an occupational injury and the first few initial visits were productive. However when it came to the Dr. making a referral to P.T.'s for my treatment, he didn't seem to know which ones within his network were compatible with my insurance, which then caused a bit of a frenzy in between his staff, my attorneys office and insurance carrier while all trying to get on the one accord in order to make the proper selection. It took his staff several weeks to eventually confirm the choice made was within his referral network and also be accepted by my insurance. Getting to that point seemed to be a long drawn out production where I had to do a lot of calling back and forth making sure his staff was communicating as needed but I was very grateful once they were able help me with making a selection. Not to mention, Dr. Nicola's office screens calls and so there were several times where my phone calls and messages went unanswered or returned. I found that when I blocked my number when calling, my call would be answered right away.

While I was under the doctors care I was also given some work restrictions requiring immobility of hands, and no flexion of the wrists in addition to the recommendation for physical therapy so that my wrist/hand injuries could improve. The Electromyogram (EMG) showed significant nerve damage to my extremities and with these injury, the test results and Dr. Nicola's own work restrictions, after discussing possibly needing to use my disability benefits with Dr. Nicola, I decided to apply. His office advised me that there would be an application fee of $25.00 for the processing of paperwork on his end and after I had paid the fee, several weeks after the fee was accepted and processed the Dr. still had not completed his portion of the application. In pain and minimal use of hands, I'd waited very patiently and finally decided to contact the Dr's office where I was then advised that the Dr. Nicola would not be completing his portion of the application. For whatever reasons he had, I didn't understand being that the nerve conduction testing showed significant damage, his own list of extensive restrictions, and most importantly, he accepted a fee to complete the application.

It was very frustrating that money was taken for a service recommended but not even provided. Furthermore, his office wasn't even going to notify me at the very least. Highly unprofessional. Just keep the money, and say nothing? Who does that?? Only a crook. I had to call the office in order to learn that the Dr. had no intentions on complying. There were also two staff members there who were particularly unpleasant and distasteful. One by the names of Miranda who was just rude. She grew frustrated very easily and snappy if it seemed you had more than one question or a need to follow up with a matter. The other by the name of Koran who plainly seemed outright ghetto, from her defensive demeanor to the threat she made to contact my insurance adjuster to advise them of my longer wishing to remain with their office once I expressed my unhappiness with the service I'd been receiving.

Too much ego for my taste, impersonal treatment and no follow through. I also wondered if having photos of oneself posing next to sports figures and professional athletes might guarantee or even improve my own experience and quality of treatment in any way. Turns out it did not, but I suppose when you're "big time", you'll want all of your patients to know. This was my experience and I've chosen to have health care needs met elsewhere.
