Dr. Starks delivered my first 3 children and I only changed doctors because I moved out of state. I had nothing but a great experience with him and his staff. He always took his time to answer any questions or concerns that I had. Also he is a very caring and personable doctor. I don't have anything negative to say about this doctor. I would highly recommend him! I had a great pregnancy and birth experience!

I would avoid this doctor at all cost!!!!!
During my pregnancy they never check the heart beat of my baby until I was 5 months. I will tell Dr. Dmitri that I didnt feel good that been feeling sick and havent retain any food. He laugh and said thats normal, you choose to be pregnant. All they continue to do is draw blood, sit me in the room to watch a movie for 30-45 mins and then charge my insurance. When they finally check the heart beat of the baby at 5 months Dr. Dmitri did not tell me what was going on other than " I need you to come tomorrow morning to have ultra sound done by a specialist." I knew something was not right, so I went to PH Hospital in Whittier and thats where they told me that my baby has been dead. The baby has been dead for past month and half and at this point my health was at risk. They told me that they couldnt do much for me, other than to have Dr. Dmitri do D&C surgical procedure. I call Dr. Dmitri office and his wife told me that there unable to set appointment today for me, but to come tomorrow since I had appointment schedule. I came next day in the morning and Ultrasound specialist was there with Dr. Dmitri and after ultrasound was done I waited to see what Dr. Dmitri will tell me. I was already aware of what was going on since I went to PH Hospital. Dr. Dmitri told me the baby is not alive, its dead. Approx two days ago it lost oxygen. He told me "All I can do is set an appointment for D&C which the next available appointment is in two weeks."I knew this was already a life threating situation to have my baby in my stomach, but I couldnt do anything since no other doctor wanted to do the D&C procedure. I waited, two days later that night I started to get a high fever, red dots all over my body and vomiting. My mom rushed me to the emergency at Pomona at 9:30pm and 5 doctors saw me right away. They told me that the fever is due to my body reacting to infection I have for carry the baby so long in my stomach. That they were going to call Dr. Dmitri, but in the meanwhile they were going to put IV and medication for to claim the fever.One of the doctors that call Dr. Dmitri said that the doctor said to go home and to come back tomorrow cause its too late for him to do D&C. My husband told the doctors, I will take my wife home but if something happens to her I will hold each of you guys responsible becuase you guys are aware of her condition. I will not leave without a note from either one of you guys or Dr. Dmitri stating that my wife was send home after a high fever and serious infection in her stomach. Right away the doctors call Dr Dmitri and he then showed up an hour and 30 mins. He looked unhappy and moody to come very late at night, but he had no choice. He did the D&C procedure which only lasted an hour and half. After the procedure was done the put me in a room and after few minutes my body was reacting really bad to the surgery. My husband pushed the botton, five doctors and two RN nurses rush to the room and took everyone out of the room. Doctors said if is wasnt cause they called them right away, I would of been dead cause I was losting to much blood. My mom asked for doctor Dmitri and the other doctors said he left right away when he was done with surgery. After two days being in the hospital, Dr. Dmitri call and told the nurses I was good to be send home. They never called me to set another appointment to check if everything was good, I had to call them myself to set a final appointment. Then when I saw him he said everything is good, dont cry for the lost. Your still young and will have many more. Total Jerk! I told him I was having pain still and he said just take this medicine. Medicine after medicine I got tired of it and went to another doctor where they found out that peices were still left on my body, it was matter of just taking a medicine to flush it out of my system. After that I never felt pain after the surgery, but will not go again to this guy. He doesnt care for his patient, other than charging the insurance. When something goes wrong you finally get to see the real side of Dr. Dmitri and his Wife. I wrote my story cause god bless me to continue living and I wouldnt wish anyone my pain.
