This office has an excellent nurse staff. However, the waiting area is filthy. The chairs were often sticky. I put up with the unkempt office because Dr. Coleman is awesome. HOWEVER, when my oldest became ill, and was "diagnosed" with MONO (a 3-yr-old with extremely limited contact to others b/c she is not in a daycare facility) by Dr. Adamiak at a sick appointment, she ordered blood work. She said our insurance (BCBS) did not cover "in-house" blood work and sent us to a Lab Corp. SHE LIED. It turns out, Carousel Peds does not have the ability for in-house lab work. (I called BCBS myself and was promised by our insurance company that they DO cover in-house lab work) It had nothing to do with our insurance. So she sent us to a LAB CORP --that is NOT a Pediatric Facility: meaning, they do not have Pediatric sized needles. So, instead of a finger prick for blood work at a DOCTOR'S OFFICE, my 3-year-old little girl was prodded with man-sized needles on her arms and hand because the Lab Corp technician was unable to "find the vein" with the oversized needles. She bruised all over for NEGATIVE TEST RESULTS: misdiagnosed completely. A SINUS INFECTION and a run of antibiotics was the end solution. So, if your child never gets sick and doesn't need lab work, you should be fine! (Sarcasm) My three children will definitely be going elsewhere from now on.
