Dr. Schechtman is friendly and knowledgeable enough but lacks much compassion. She would listed a symptom that I never complained of in a lab order form, apparently to support ordering the test. But now I have symptoms that I never had listed in my file. I am young (under age 40) and this will impact my insurability and rates for the rest of my life. Dr. Schechtman dictated her report while I was in the room and despite correcting her a number of times, she still repeated inaccurate information. She continues to tell me to make follow-up appointments but has never diagnosed me with anything to treat. I think she just wants to make sure she has a consistent stream on repeat patients to keep insurance billings up. The office was TERRIBLE about scheduling my initial appointment. It took them over a week to even return my call after they had all of my referral paperwork.
