Dr. Adelman listens to parents when they bring in their teen aged children. He does not over medicate his patient's and in my opinion he is a excellent doctor.

Dr Adelman is a wonderful, companionate, understanding doctor. My son was in need of immediate treatment and we where seen very promptly and Dr. Adelman went above and beyond in my opinion. He took the time to really speak to my son and evaluate him, which was such a relief for us having had such a bad experience in a different city. He truly cared to find out what my son needed and treat him accordingly. My son went in feeling hopeless and left after the first visit with new hope. From reading other reviews today I can see this how he treats ALL his patients. Genuine!

Dr. Adelman is an amazing psychiatrist and a wonderful human being. I am a recovering addict, and since he specializes in addiction medicine I knew his approach would be completely non judgmental. When my husband was diagnosed with cancer he became very depressed, and I encouraged him to also see Dr. Adelman. I am very certain that if we had not been seeing him I probably would have relapsed during what has been the most difficult time in our lives. Not only has Dr. Adelman saved me but he also helped my husband through a very dark time as well. We are both stronger as a couple also. Dr. Adelman is very patient and he is not afraid to try different treatment options in order to determine what works best. He is a kind, compassionate person and it is clear that he loves his work. I highly recommend him.

I believe Dr. Adelman literally saved my life. After 6 months of being followed by another psychiatrist for severe depression and one suicide attempt, I had not had any improvement. I made an appointment with Dr. Adelman who developed a treatment plan on the first visit that included a cocktail of antidepressants which he adjusted as needed in subsequent appointments. I finally had relief. Now, three years later, I am only on a one pill a day maintenance dose and have been able to handle every stressor that has come my way, including family deaths.
He is professional yet personable and I recommend him to anyone in need of psychiatric assistance. He doesn't waste your time or money.

Not only was Dr. A. able to provide everything he and his friendly efficient staff promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. I spent a year searching San Antonio for a psychiatrist well versed in treating emotional, mental, physical trauma disorders, PTSD, etc. None to be found. Then the universe found one right in my own backyard of Kerrville,TX. Dr. A. is well qualified, ethical, compassionate and LISTENS without judgements or 'attitude'. He helped me greatly and was also a wonderful referral resource in finding me the perfect match with a psychotherapist/ psychologist. I have only left him because I relocated to Las Vegas, NV.
