This doctor is horrible. The only reason i can see going to him is to get your prescriptions in no time at all. You walk in, get weighed and then leave with your meds. Escalona doesnt Care about you at all, he just wants to see as many people as he can, as fast as possible. To say he is a doctor is a joke.

This Dr. is extremely unprofessional. He abandoned my husband in a crisis, screamed and yelled at my husband on the phone, called him names, I was appauled. He has no compassion. Our appointments were very brief, he did'nt listen to any of the symptoms we were trying to explain. It is extremely difficult to communicate with this person. He just read questions from a list. My husband is now hospitalized because of Dr. Escalona's lack of care. If he hates his job he should do something else and stop making the lives of his patients even more difficult. You can see the lack of (com)passion as soon as you walk in.

This so-called doctor is the most unprofessional person I have met in the medical field. He gives other psychiatrists a bad name. He discussed my child's case in front of other patients in his waiting room. It seems that he has a revolving door in his office, because of the short amount of time he spends with his patients and the lack of concern that he has when a parent is trying to explain a concern. He is like a robot blurting out generic questions and then writing out a prescription without regarding the patient's mentality at the time.

In my opinion this doctor does not listen. He spent all his time writing stuff down and did not take a detailed history. He diagnosed a disorder that he could not explain and prescribed a medication that he could not explain what it did and what the side effects are. I would stay away from this doctor if you are looking for an honest evaluation from someone who cares and can explain things in a clear and concise manner.
