I felt this doctor was very arrogant and somewhat condesending at times. He was not very responsive to other professional suggestions and he had to reschedule quite a few times with us which is very disruptive. I don't feel like he really listened to us and evaluated our concerns. My gut always felt like there was something else going on but he didn't address my concerns that were shared. I was not as informed at the time and felt like he did not give me general directions regarding how psychiatry worked and what other doctors we should be seeing in conjuction with him (ie. a psychologist). Also, since we left him and I have continued to do additional research, I believe that my child has a condition that I had asked him about but he did not pursue. After reading the literature on the condition I am very surprised that he did not pursue it further since many of the items we were discussing with him were symptoms of this condition. Also, I never really "clicked" with this doctor. After we left him I was referred to two other physicians in the same office by other patients that know me and know what we have been going through and felt like they would be a better fit for our personality and family and the office has a policy that once you see one doctor you can never switch to any of the others in the practice. This seems very unfair as some people just don't connect. I would never recommend this doctor. I gave him over 2 years to help us and we made no progress.
