I recently (Jan 18th 2021) had spinal fusion surgery performed by Dr. Berchuck at Stony Brook University Hospital and I am totally satisfied and happy with the result. As far as I can see he totally rectified the problems I was having. In late Nov I started experiencing difficulty walking and was in constant pain in my hip area. I am a lifelong cyclist, runner, fitness enthusiast and the problems I was having in my hip area were degrading my fitness interests substantially. I knew I needed medical intervention because I could not walk. Upon my first consult with Dr. Berchuck he advised me that my my problems were stemming from some severe issues with my spine but that he could fix it and would require surgery. The surgery was scheduled for about a month later and again I am totally happy with the result. A week after surgery I was walking outside in my neighborhood pain free. 7 weeks post surgery I am walking, cycling and doing light gym workouts with no pain. Dr. Berchuck has a great bedside manner and I would highly recommend this orthopedic surgeon to anyone.

Dr Berchuck was absolutely amazing and repairing my 30-year-old sons neck We were absolutely in an emergency situation and our only hope was to believe in Dr Berchuck my son has had many spinal surgeries before done in New York City we had many concerns being this was an emergency situation and we didn’t have the opportunity of getting to New York City and get into my sons doctors I always believed that my son’s doctors in the city Are just the best it’s because many years to find them and find out and here we are in an emergency situation thank you Dr Berchuck for your expertise your confidence and your Talent in an operating room we are Forever grateful I would highly recommend this orthopaedic surgeon thank you again to everybody at Stony Brook involved in my sons surgery treatment and recovery
