I visited this mans office In Bolivia when I was 20 because my mother suggested so. I was already struggling with major depression and had been raped a few times. I went to his office because I was worried my new bf gave me an sti and I told McKiethan. He said he would do the tests and I requested females to do it.
He said there were none, it was gonna be him and he had a female nurse who could stand by. I got upset and said no I want a female, or can I go to another office Right now? (Public health was a 5 minute drive away) He became serious and demanding that I would have tests done immediately by him or “I’LL HAVE 2 MEN IN A TRUCK COME STRAP YOU DOWN AND MAKE YOU TEST IN THE PARKING LOT OUTSIDE”
I don’t know how long I spent refusing and arguing him.
After cursing and crying While he tested me, his female nurse never saying maybe we shouldn’t hearing and seeing me not wanting to do this, I left that office bawling and my mother asking me for days what happened. I don’t trust or respect male doctors because of him and other male doctors who have been inappropriate with me.
Btw Yeah, I know this dude is gay, don’t try to discredit me with that excuse. No excuses for the insensitivity, discomfort, and overall pathetic treatment. I’m almost 30 and I’m still upset when I remember that day every single time I’m supposed to visit an obgyn.
McKiethan is the biggest contributor to why I avoid taking care of my health.
