My experence at Kindred Bay Area has been amazing. The people are very friendly. The staff have been very friendly especially Nurse Pam, Tech Mayola, and Tech Vivian. They went above and beyond what was required. They made sure I got everything I needed and I didn't have to ask for it. Amanda was awesome also. Armando in Rehab department is great and very helpful as was as all physical therapy staff. Respiratory therapy was great. Cindy, Amy, and Laura that worked on the weekends were really helpful. Wound Care employee Lauren is a character!! She took great care of me and was very helpful. She kept me laughing. Mrs. Fun the Dietician was very sweet. She was on vacation and upon her return she checked in on me, I thought that was very sweet. The Quality of food was excellent. You would not have known it was hospital food. Dr. Patel is a very good doctor. He runs a tight ship. It's easier to listen to him, rather than argue. He really wants the best for his patients. Dr. Syed the pulmonologist is very good. He got all my lung issues under control and answered all of my questions in a way that I could understand. This hospital was clean and the housekeepers did a great job at kepting my room clean. I would really recommend Kindred Hospital Bay Area to anyone in this area that needs specialized care. The team here does a great job and shows great consideration and care for their patients. I really appreciate you all for helping me to continue moving forward in pursuing a healthier future. Thank you all so much!

I'd been a patient at Kindred Hospital Bay Area in 2015, so when I was told I would need long term care again I knew Kindred was the place I wanted to go. I am confident in the care I receive here and am comfortable with the employees, it was so nice to see a few familiar faces. All staff members are very caring and conscious of a patient's needs and safety! Although the whole nursing team is great, I have 3 shining stars to recognize: Tina, Felix, and Ester! Tina is always on time with my IVs and pain medicine and made sure I was comfortable and warm , Felix comforted me when I was initially admitted and had a little it of anxiety, and Ester sat and discussed my discharge plans and made me feel better about transitioning to a lower level of care. Other departments that are phenomenal are Wound Care, Physical Therapy, Dietary, Maintenance, and Patient Relations.. all are A1! I love Sally in Dietary, she has spoiled me since my first admission here. I have to mention how prompt Eddison in maintenance was, he came in and fixed my bedside sink, and he was so kind to me while doing so! Selina in Patient Relations was very helpful and got me the information I needed - I love her, she's so good and sweet. Housekeeping and Security were even awesome during my stay, my room was kept spotless and I felt safe going out for fresh air at night with security in the building. The Physical Therapy team taught me several new exercises I can do at home and I definitely got stronger here to be able to move on! Overall I give this facility 5 stars! You can't stay anywhere better than Kindred Bay Area!

Kindred Hospital Bay Area gave me excellent care and I could not have asked for a better clinical team to help me heal! Through extensive wound care and physical therapy I was able to feel stronger and more capable of doing things on my own once home. Rehab employees Arielle and Tracey were respectful, cheerful, and compassionate. They were mindful of my strengths and weaknesses, and knew what I could handle, my only regret was I didn't get to spend more time with that team. Wound Care can't be beat!! That whole team knows their field and gave me courteous yet effective treatments. The food was fantastic, always nice and hot! Exceptionally tasty considering the type of diet I was on. During my stay my wife was provided an over night bed in my room for nights I didn't want to be alone, but she had peace of mind knowing the Care was excellent that on some evenings she went back and was even able to return back to work for a few days knowing that I was being well taken care of. This facility is a 10 out of 10, and I highly recommend them to the community for long term care needs!

I truly appreciated being at this hospital, everyone was so kind, even the ambulance people that brought me over were great. ICU services were outstanding, and the staff was very knowledgeable. I absolutely recommend this hospital. Once I moved out of ICU ChiChi became my favorite nurse. She was so sweet and made sure that I was okay and had everything I needed. PT and OT were phenomenal, and I was able to make lots of progress. I cannot say enough nice things about the staff here! Thanks everyone!

Kindred Bay Area was just what I needed to continue healing from an infection and I highly recommend them. The referral to admit to this hospital came from a case manager and I'm definiltely pleased that she gave me the suggestion because the staff and physicians have been fantastic. I received daily physician visits from Dr. Dahu - who was very informative. Dr. Briggs was the Wound Care physician and was a God Send! He was able to save my foot and prevent the infection from getting worse by debreiding it, and even said I made a quick recovery for the type of infection I had. The Wound Care team took care of the rest and constantly made sure I was doing good, they even taught me how to properly care for wound, I'll continue Outpatient Wouund Care therapy a few times a week to have my dressings changed. The women on that team definitely know what they are doing! The hospital is kept very clean and I had all the supplies I needed in my room at all times. I was even able to bring in my own 32" Tv and gaming system on a rolling cart into my room to help keep myself entertained throughout the day! I thought that was pretty cool that they let me do that. Overall all staff members were knowledgeable and kind but a few stood out to me.. Ann, night shift RN, and Pam, day shift RN.. they both had the best bedside manners and constantly explained things to me. Every time I was given medicine they would tell me what it was for, until I was able to recognize them on my own. The food wasn't too bad, even though I was on a reduced sodium diet, my parents thoroughly enjoyed the cafeteria food catered by Luby's. Kindred provided excellent care and service, thanks to all who helped me get back home!

My brother was referred to this facility by his primary care physician, and although he does not practice here his recommendation was perfect for my brother's needs. Dr. Vyas was put on his case and kept us informed of all treatment plans. We were at three different facilities prior to the admission at Kindred and my brother made the most progress at this facility. We were able to get his infection cleared up and he was able to participate in therapy, which helped him tremendously. All the staff members were kind and our overall experience was excellent. My brother even ate better here than any of the other facilities, the food was so tasty to him. Nurses Pam and Tina were fabulous, Pam even took time out of her day to pray with us which we greatly appreciated. You can tell she genuinely cares for the patients. I highly recommend this facility!

I have nothing but fantastic things to say about this long term care hospital! You couldn't ask for a better hospital to receive treatments at, no matter how long you'll have to stay. I've been a patient for 35+ days and did not experience one bad day here. They definitely get an A+ on their report card! My doctors from Baytown referred me to this facility and I'm very thankful they did because I've received great care from an amazing staff. A few rockstars have been Penny, Ann, and Felix (he's the man!!) - each of these nurses took their time with me and made sure I always understood my treatments. The cafeteria always accommodated any requests and had good customer service. My overall experience has been wonderful, awesome and I can even say perfect. I recommend them to anyone in the area.

After being at this hospital for a month we are continuing Outpatient Wound Care Treamtments and we have had nothing but positive experiences here. The staff became like a second family and we were blessed to have wonderful nurses, nurse aids and therapists! If we had to be read tired we definitely would not think twice about choosing this facility again. The hospital is thoroughly kept clean and sanitized by the housekeeping staff, which were all very nice as well. Family members could stay overnight if they desired and the nursing staff were just as accommodating to overnight visitors as they were to the patient. Vivian, Pam, Carol, and Roman went above and beyond with their Care and treatments. The Wound Care team is absolutely phenomenal, and they offer very advanced treatments, including a Hyperbaric Chamber which helps heal wounds. If anyone in the Pasadena area needs long term care, Kindred Bay Area is the best place you could possibly go to.Thank you all, The Haney Family

I initially admitted to Kindred for Wound Care treatments, and the Wound Care team at this hospital is by far the most knowledgeable and courteous nurses. I want to personally recognize two nurses, one from the Wound Care department and the other from the Nursing Department.. Heather in Wound Care, and night shift RN, Bibi. These two special ladies have made my stay a pleaseant one, even when some days of being stuck in a hospital are not the best.. They both go the extra mile and thoroughly explain everything to me... Whether it be the treatments they are providing, medications, or their own processes when caring for me and my wounds. They never leave my room until they are absolutely sure that I understand everything. As they are leaving my room, they always ask if I need anything else. You can definitely tell they truly care about their professions in the healthcare industry. It is so refreshing to know people still genuinely care as much as these two ladies do. Overall all of the staff members are great and polite but these ladies are phenomenal!!
The rooms at this hospital are always kept very clean, thanks to the sweet ladies from housekeeping. I definitely recommend this hospital and would return if I needed more long term treatments in the future! Thank you all.

My husband has been a patient at Kindred Bay Area a few different times this year and we continually receive great care! Each nurse and tech that was assigned to us treated us with respect & kindess. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the hospital is kept exceptionally clean. The Wound Care and Rehab teams were amazing, and have even taught me a thing or two when caring for my husband once we are back home. We were always checked on and when I stayed overnight I was able to get a good night's rest because the nurses and techs were quite when entering the room. We are very pleased with this hospital - would return if needed and would definitely recommend the facility to others.
