Dr. Smith advocated against wearing masks at the JSD school board meeting. He said that everyone knows masks don’t work. Masks do work…. They reduce the chance of infection. He is against masks because his middle school daughter hates them.

my daughter just took her ailing dog Reef in today for one last hopeful look. It was not favorable and she had to put him down. When Dr. Smith had seen Reef when he worked at SE Vet clinic my daughter had written an unfavorable review about the care, without mentioning Dr. Smith by name.
In the same breath today when he pronounced Reef gone, he looked at my daughter and said "don't write sh*t about me on the internet any more.. He told her 'I recognize this dog', 'I was the only one willing to look at him today'....what an absolutely heartless SOB. Complaint to be filed with the AKVMA...

We had a great experience and will continue to go back for our pets needs. Dr. Smith was knowledgeable and caring! So glad there is another option here in Juneau for vet care!
