I was referred to the Cone Health Outpatient Rehabilitation
Center at 1904 N Church St in Greensboro, NC about five years
ago because of chronic neck pain (degenerative spine disease and
facet joint problems). My experiences were the following.

When I tried to explain to the first PT that I saw what the
problem was, he told me that it did not matter what the problem
was, he answered: "The past is the past and the only thing that
matters now that you have neck pain". Over a period of several
months I was given a number of excercises to do at home by three
different physical therapists. I did them a lot over the last
five years. My neck pain got progressively worse. Hoping that
the exercises would make it better I continued doing them. I
did not expect that the exercisises were making my condition
worse.

I recently saw a physicians assistant in a pain clinic, who also
has 20 years experience as a PT working with spinal issues.
When I showed her the exercises I was told to do, she said: "Do
not do those, this is the worst thing you can do for the problem
you have". I followed her advice and did not do the exercises.
Within a few days my condition improved. Doing some other
exercises that she recommended and taking Robaxin within a
months made me feel better than I have felt in five years.

During one session a PT set me up with a neck stretching device.
Although she should have stayed in the room for one stretching
and relaxing cycle she left the room immediatly. The machine
stretched my neck for without any relaxation periods. I ended
up using the buzzer to call fro help and was told and overheard
the supervisor, who had freed me, explain to the PT how to
correctly set up the machine.

I would not recommend this center.
