I came to TLC after being with another local audiologist and I was overwhelmingly impressed. After walking into the door on the first day, I felt comfortable. Once I first sat down with Dr. Bishop, I already had the feeling that I was set. No need to look further. Dr. Bishop makes you feel that you are part of office that cares. Here personal touch is heartwarming. I will be here for now on. My suggested hearing aids are better than what I had and they took care of all my insurance needs. You will not be disappointed. I am a set patience for life.

I have been seeing audiologists for 25 years while living in various parts of the US. Dr. Emily Taylor is a highly qualified audiologist who I gladly give a rating of excellence. Her knowledge of her field is notable and she stays current with the latest technologies. Hearing loss can be complex and personal and she freely gives her time to discuss options and try various programming options with my hearing aids. The entire office is welcoming and Emily Taylor is very accessible and a pleasure to work with. You really can't go wrong with Taylor Listening Center.

I want to take a moment to share with the readers my experience in getting hearing aids and with TLC. Lengthy review but I promise it is useful. I went to a mid-size hearing aid company - Hearing Solutions and they told me the only way to determine the amount my insurance will cover was to order the aids. I express I was not ready to commit and they assured me this would not be a problem. When the aids came in I declined them due to the cost. The company said that was not a problem. The end right? No!! A year and a half later I contacted BCBS to check my benefits and they said I purchased hearing aids 18 months ago through Hearing Solutions. The check was issued and cashed said BCBS. I called the company and got a MAJOR runaround and weeks later they sent BCBS a check. No apology or explanation. I then went to a larger company in Annapolis associated with AUDIGY. Was pressured to get the STARKEY brand and order them that day. I wanted OTICON and they gave me a quote. All this bundling and extras twirled my head. Did not order and week later went to TLC. What a difference in approach and explanation of hearing aids. I felt very confident TLC was an honest company. To support that impression, Dr. Taylor’s quote was several HUNDREDS lower than that of the Annapolis Company. Dr. Taylor was so professional and took the time I needed to know all my options. No pressure at all. Ordered OTICONS and I LOVE THEM. These aids are life changing. I know TLC will support me through this transition period and beyond. Take Away… I feel the larger Audiological companies pressure their staff to sell and to sell a specific company (rebates) and don’t let a sale walk out the door without a contract. Advise – Take your time, research on line and shop around (could save you hundreds). Or just go to TLC!

Dr. Taylor and her staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and conscious of sound level issues during the testing and discussion. She offered numerous solutions to my sensitivities and was timely in her followup email with the information. The beverage station was an added benefit to the waiting room area. I would highly recommend Dr. Taylor and TLC.

Best experience I could have asked for! Welcoming and professional and It made me feel so confident about wearing hearing aids....which I had been aware that i needed, but was hesitant about getting them. Emily Taylor has opened up a new world for me. I can hear my family talking to me now and the tv is turned much lower and the iPhone calls do not have to go on Speaker. It’s magic!

I have worn hearing aids before, but none of them were fitted properly. A friend of mine had gone to the Taylor Listening Center, and was very satisfied. I met Emily for the first time, and I knew i was in good hands. She was so professional,, and together we picked the perfect hearing aids. I heard sounds that were missing from my life. The hearing aids are rechargeable-no batteries. I never looked back. Emily and her staff are wonderful. Do your self a favor, run don't walk to the Taylor Listening Center- You will have your life back again. As a pharmacist, I have to hear my patients-Now I don't miss a beat

I was born hearing impaired and have been wearing aids since I was 3 years old. According to my math that's 43 years I have been wearing aids, so I have a ton of experience on this subject. I cannot say enough about Dr. Taylor and the staff at TLC. Dr. Taylor really cares about her patients. She is very friendly and professional, and she goes above and beyond to provide her patients with the gift of sound.
I have been to many audiologists throughout the years, and a good majority of them only care about profits. That is not true of TLC. Dr. Taylor really cares and it shows. They are without a doubt a patient centered outfit, and I would HIGHLY recommend them to anyone struggling to hear.

Dr. Emily Taylor is the most competent, caring, and best doctor I’ve ever
known. She makes sure the patient is completely satisfied before
leaving the office. She follows up with every patient, and is never too busy to answer any question.
Any time I’ve needed an adjustment, I can always count on getting an
appointment with her.
I feel so lucky to have her in my life....

Review of the Taylor Listening Center (TLC) and Dr. Emily J. Taylor

I am a 70 year old man who has had significant hearing problems for at least the last 20 years. I had avoided dealing with the issue for a variety of reasons: the expense, the bother of using hearing aids, the perceived pressure of sales pitches, etc. My hearing loss really became problematic when I realized I could not accurately hear what my grandchildren were saying to me. Also, I could no longer enjoy their school concerts and plays because I could not make out the dialog and/or lyrics. It’s disheartening to sit and hear the audience laugh at a scene and not share their amusement because I missed the entire punch line!

A few months ago, I saw a Facebook posting for TLC and visited Dr. Taylor’s website. I read her explanation of her business practices and her reasons for opening TLC. I was really impressed with her approach to her practice and decided to make an appointment for a hearing test and evaluation. I was scheduled immediately. When I arrived for my appointment, the office was exactly as described. Clean, modern, and professional, but also very comfortable and homelike in feel. The coffee/beverage station is an excellent feature of the waiting area.

Dr. Taylor gave me her undivided attention for the entire visit. We discussed my family, my concerns with hearing and possible reasons for the loss of my hearing. She conducted the hearing test herself and gave me a full and detailed assessment. We discussed a full range of options and a number of different hearing aids. After a couple of days to think over the options, I asked her to order two Opticon hearime. These are top of the line hearing aids with Bluetooth capability built in. Dr. Taylor scheduled a fitting session and reviewed all the functionality and operations of these hmearing aids. She also scheduled a follow-up visit 3 weeks after the delivery of the hearing aids to go over any issues or concerns. I have another follow-up visit to review my experiences and make sure I am successfully adapting to their use.

I feel as though Dr. Taylor is more than just my audiologist. I see her as a partner in my quest to regain my hearing ability. She not only spent the time to get to know my issues in detail but she is devoting her time after delivering the hearing aids to make sure every concern I have is properly addressed. She is always available via e:mail to address any and all of my issues and concerns. I could not have made a better choice than Dr. Taylor and TLC.

Dr. Emily Taylor is the best!!! I was having issues with my hearing, almost to the point where I couldn't hear out of my left ear and my balance was thrown off. Dr. Taylor took exceptional care in treating my ears, testing out all potential issues and explaining all measures to take for the future to protect my hearing. The entire experience was top notch. Stop looking anywhere else and go to TLC, I promise you won't regret it!
