As a former scuba instructor for 10 years, and special education teacher for severe behavior disorder teens, my life has always been very physical. For the past 12 years I've been to neurosergeons, chiropractors, and physical therapists. I've has eight injections in my lower spine. 've beenI working with a personal trainer who specializes in spine injury patients, which has helped tremendously. However, Dr. Steve's knowledge and skills have taken my healing to a new level. His incorporation of chiropractic and yoga practice, and the time he takes to teach me how to care for myself, has allowed my to participate in life more than I ever thought would be possible again.

The receptionist seemed genuinely kind and helpful and the office was bright and cheery. However, the chiropractor was very loud while I was waiting to be seen. When he did come in, I felt like he wasn't listening to what I was trying to explain because he cut me off several times and made me feel like I was wasting his time just because I was trying to get information about the cost and course of treatment. He implied that I had psychological issues and that I was too focused on money because I was wondering if I could get a few adjustments without getting the initial exam with x-rays, since I would be leaving town in a few weeks and I knew that I wasn't going to make a long term commitment. He said that he "doesn't work well" with patients who are only worried about cost. Most of the chiropractors I've been to just treat you the first time after an initial consultation, usually around $40 to $80 dollars. After what seemed to be a debate about whether I "really wanted to be healthy", he finally told me it would cost around $200 for the initial exam/treatment. I've personally heard that he has helped a lot of people feel better physically but I did not appreciate the way I was treated. I have never left a negative review of anyone before, but I think he needs to learn to be more patient and less arrogant.

Let me just say that this business is in one of the safest areas around and you will be pleasantly surprised at how lovely the surroundings are. As soon as I walked through the door, I was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. They went out of their way to make me feel special and appreciated. They made the extra effort to make sure every question and concern I had was addressed. The treatment method was explained in-depth to me before they started the treatment. I was totally prepared for everything that was going to be done during the adjustments, and I was completely comfortable.

It seemed like they were trying to rush my appointment and were annoyed to be helping me. It was obvious that they wanted to be somewhere else. Most of my adjustments were really general and didn't address my condition. They customized their treatment somewhat for me but not very much. Bleh!
