This office is a dichotomy. Dr B is great, very sharp, trained on the latest stuff, and personable. The office is staff can be horrendous, especially when it comes to prescrip. refills. They lose faxes from pharmacies, ignore them, or just are slow. Just called in a refill on a wed, faxed twice, and they left for the weekend on fri without authorizing the refill (test strips). Now I have to buy out of pocket for the weekend. Shabby service.

Dr Budharaju is fine, I would say above average for an endocronologist. Unfortunately his office staff is awful. The receptionist is sweet but doesn't know much. The office manager Chantal is rude, won't work to resolve issues, and it's hard to tell if she's incompetent or just doesn't care. I won't go back anymore because they just can't seem to keep the correct insurance information in their computer, so they keep trying to bill me each visit. I'm tired of calling their billing service time and again, and then getting to next visit and my insurance information has "vanished" from their system. Don't pay them until you make sure your insurance hasn't. Last time, I checked and my insurance HAD paid, but the office staff said they hadn't and wanted me to pay in order to see the doctor that day. Fraud or ineptitude? Not sure. I wish Dr. Budharaju would fix whatever's wrong in his office, as for me I'm finding a new doctor.

I am extremely pleased to say that under Dr. Budharaju's excellent care and guidance my blood sugars are finally under control for the first time in 25 years. My new A1c is where it should be and at the lowest it has been in my lifetime. Doctor and his staff are all very professional, knowledgeable and caring and I highly recommend their services for anyone who has had trouble trying to get their blood sugar under control, or for someone just trying to maintain good numbers. Do something good for yourself and make your appointment today.

The doctor was assigned to me at St Anthony's BayCare. I saw him at total of three times for less than 15 minutes each time. He was curt, abrupt, interrupted me, endorsed poor listening skills, did not answer my questions, ordered tests, stated on my Medical Records that he had "felt" my neck when in fact he never came closer than three feet to me. He stated on my Medical Records that Diabetes Mellitus runs me in my Family when in fact no family member has ever had such. He labeled me as "depressed" yet has no background in the psychiatric field. I must add that I was running a temp of over 100 degrees, had a hacking cough, chills, body aches and was not treated for any of those symptoms. That alone was cause for a lack of an upbeat mood. I asked my Nurse three times to please contact the Doctor so I could have a discussion with him regarding the findings of my CT and Ultrasound Scans. He was too busy, never met with me, never shared the location of the two nodules on my thyroid and the fact that my trachea was pressed to the right. He wanted to move to FNA BXs of the nodules and I refused. This physician had not gained my trust at all. In fact, I distrusted with good cause. He was far too eager to proceed to FNA Bxs when he had not even looked down my throat, palpated my glands and thyroid, looked in my ears, checked my eyes, or any of the ABC's of a necessary examination. I come from a Medical Family. My father has a Building named in his honor for his meritorious service as a career ER Physician, Head of the Department. He was the 1985 EMS Physician of the Year. Our family is filled with Doctors and Nurses. I was shocked at the lack of care I received by this physician. It is imperative to have a quality relationship with one's patient: to listen with compassion and clarity; to respond to all question in layman's terms; to be more than a test ordering machine. This young man has lessons to learn should he wish to improve his skills as a Physician. BEWARE OF A SMILE AND NO DIRECT ANSWERS. That is not practicing medicine. One must practice. He did not serve me as a Physician.
