I have seen Dr. Joan for various health issues over the last 4 years. She has helped me with chronic back pain that no other physical therapist was able to treat. Her approach actually treated the root cause not just the symptoms and included healing my whole body. Her holistic approach resulted in changes to health issues I had not expected including getting pregnant naturally after years of infertility and greatly improving my thyroid function and I have not had a migraine in years!!! My son and husband have also been patients and have had great results with treatment. Dr. Joan is an incredibly intuitive and caring person with vast knowledge in Eastern and Western methods of healing. She is a true gem!

Dra. Joans is an excellent healer, doctor and specially a great person. My daughter recommended me to have an appointment with her while I was visiting her in Illinois. Well, I was about to go back to Texas but I was able to have two more appointments with her because she made special time to see me. Dr. Joans stayed late on a Friday after her consulting time was over and drove over an hour to see me on a day she doesn't work. I am very grateful she did that for me.
During those three visits I was able to feel Dra. Joans healing power. I used to have lots of digestive system problems, I ate very little portions and after I ate I immediately had a lot of burping and acid reflux. To me eating was an act of survival I didn't enjoy the foods I ate. After her first session I was hungry and after many years I enjoyed food again.
Dra. Joans also helped me with a problem I was suffering since June of last year, 2015. I was diagnosed with chronic idiopatic urticaria, commonly known as hives. During her sessions I felt like bad energy leaving my body and good one getting in, also my sore skin from the hives, felt relief. I felt a tingling sensation on those brief visits. i just wished I had more time with her. She said that if I found an acupuncturist in the area where I live, she would want to talk with her, and she did.
I am very happy that I have met Dra. Joans, and if I am in Illinois ever again and need to see her, I know she would make time for me. Thank you Dra. Joans.

Dr. Joan changed my life! Finally, after 10+ years, my neck and back pain are pretty much gone and I expect them to completely be in the future. She is the first PT that actually knew HOW to instruct me to change my posture and get rid of my sway back which was totally different approach than the many other PT's I had been to in the past. She takes care of your entire body as well as the specific aliment you might initially go in for. I was able to conceive a baby naturally with no intervention a couple months after starting to see her. This was after years of infertility. I believe that was due to the acupuncture and her ability to understand what your body needs to be healthy. Can’t recommend her enough.
