I was taken good care of. Everything was explained to me in full detail - what was going on, possible treatment plans, etc., and I was treated with care.

Dr. Michael Sossenheimer, I highly respect I have been getting my esophageal dilations quite often because I wasn't able to get medication to go down, bad acid reflex food coming back up and all other GI doctors never told me I had some serious issue but kept stretching my esophagus. Dr. Sossenheimer ran the swallowing test, inserted a camera inside my esophagus and other test which show I had failed everything that the camera was searching for which basically indicted surgery was necessary. Dr. Sossenheiner sat down with me and discussed my issues telling me the muscle above the esophagus was damaged, esophagus had erosion which I know could become cancerous because that's what my mom died of. Then we discussed what would be best for my medical issues. I was referred to Dr. Michael McKinnley for surgery. I thank my regular Medical doctor Dr. Brian Drage for referring me to Dr. Sossenheiner because I would of never found out what was wrong with me, and all the other GI doctors in that building Barrnett, Desetaul, and Heiner would of just kept stretching my esophagus. Sad but they never requested that I do any testing to find out what was wrong with me and looking back at the photos that these doctors gave me clear back 2012-2013 and forward the photos show erosion, Hernia gerd and not one of these doctors mentioned I need further testing. I am so great full that I was sent to the right doctor. I will always highly respect Dr. Sossenheiner for taking the time to run the necessary tests to find out what my medical problem were so the health issue could be corrected. I would highly recommend him to anyone knowing he's the doctor that would take the time to run tests to find out if there is a issue with a patient. I wish there were move doctors like him. fyi before I was told by my regular doctor to see Dr. Sossenheiner I was getting my esophagus stetched about every three months and asking the nurse how many people does Dr. Barrnett and the other Doctors I mentioned do a day she indicated 50 plus now that looks like herding as many patients a day just to make money. Dr. Sossenheiner wasn't like that he went through everything and ran all the necessary test and he actually called me back into his office to discuss the results from all the test he did. I will always highly respect this doctor and my regular MD Dr. Brian Drage for referring me to this great Doctor. it's nice to know that there are still some doctors that care about their patients.

I had to find a problem-solver. After seeing many previous doctors, the only one willing to take my case seriously has been Dr.Sossenheimer. I'm grateful for his help and expertise, and especially for his thoroughness in my case.

I really appreciate Dr. Sossenheimer's excellent care. I felt at ease and informed (and nothing else). Breathe in, sleep, wake up, done. Much, much less of an ordeal than I had imagined.

I have been going to Dr. Sossenheimer for 16 years and I have always been greatly satisfied with his expertise and his kindness. I am very satisfied with with the staff, the facility and care which has been given to me. I was saddened to hear that Dr. Sossenheimer will no longer be at the Intermountain Healthcare, I hope that my insurance will allow me to go to the University of Utah Medical Center.

I really appreciate the time Dr. Sossenheimer spends with me (and all patients) going through and discussing my symptoms, diagnosis, and future complications. Also, all of his staff are wonderful.

I have been a patient for over 13 years. He is the best doctor! The staff is so great. They always make me feel like they really care. Also Dr SOSs nurse is amazing. She always returns my calls promptly and answers all my questions:) GREAT OFFICE ABD DOCTOR

My appointment on 12/16/2015 was in regards to chronic heartburn that stemmed from a major flare up this past October. Dr. Sossenheimer's appointments are almost always booked out far in advance - so I was fortunate that they were able to fit me in into his already super busy schedule. The consultation involved a review of past/present history of medication use; testing/exams needed or under consideration. As a result, a new treatment plan was established for my heartburn management and a procedure/testing was scheduled. My experience was positive as always because the level of care under Dr. Sossenheimer's supervision is exceptional.

I have never worked with such an amazing informative yet fun Doctor. There is a reason his appts are always booked so far out BECAUSE HE IS THE BEST OUT THERE sooo worth the wait!!! Dr. Sossenheimer & his office staff are always both friendly & professional when working with me. I would VERY HIGHLY recommend him to anyone. THANKS DR SOSSENHEIMER & Staff!!!

Doctor Sossenheimer is my favorite doctor. He is a joy to visit with! He is very knowledgeable. It is apparent to me that he keeps up with the latest research and treatments. I have a great deal of confidence in him. I feel like he always takes what ever time he needs to make sure I understand and have my questions answered.
