After a lifetime of being unaware that there was another way of living, I was confronted by yet another marital affair. I had become numb and my routine response that “I was fine” wasn't holding up too well by that point in time. I had gotten accustomed to and was very very good at picking up the pieces, problem-solving and moving on. I was very good at taking care of all that was around me, but, I was distraught. Life had become too complicated, difficult and painful. I finally sought out help and found Marjorie K., The Stony Brook Center and support groups and I am forever grateful. The benefit for me included encouragement, a focus on self-care, education, knowledge as well as support. With this, I slowly took off blinders that I hadn't known I was wearing and walked a slow crooked path towards a healthier me. The fog, that I hadn't know nor would I have admitted surrounded me, lifted and is continually lifting. A lifetime of chaos, unhealthiness and pain is now being slowly replaced by embracing self-care that brings about clarity, realization, knowledge and a newer brighter life and future. I would highly recommend Marjorie Kroeger and The Stony Brook Center as I have found them life- changing.

Marjorie is a very professional therapist who helped me through very rough times in my life. She accommodated my hectic schedule and her office has a very safe and comfortable feel to it. I would feel confident to recommend her to anyone.

Marjorie is a wonderful therapist and extremely knowledgeable in sex and love addiction. I have seen various therapists over the years but Marjorie is by far the best so far. Her treatment approach is very task oriented which makes me feel like I'm working towards a concrete goal. She also listens without judgment and is respectful and not judgmental.
