While I had great service from 2 office staff, I was very dissatisfied with Counselor Joalene Whitmer, she was unable to keep an objective point of view and exercised no control when my children's father was interrupting, telling me to "shut-up", and even screaming at me when I responded to Joalene's questions. In three visits, we did not focus on the purpose we were there for once. We were there to learn to communicate as parents and Joalene gave us the book "Transforming the difficult child" and focused on our daughter, who was already in outpatient counseling elsewhere. We did not discuss communication and were not presented with any techniques, books, or exercises that focused on communication. Additionally, Joalene is somewhat rude. As far as the rest of the staff, I only saw the 2 in the office that one time. The waiting area here is rather cramped. There are 2 chairs. Scheduling an appointment wasn't an issue.
