As the mother of a mentally ill daughter i found this facility lacking in proper treatment since becoming privatized. After 2 years of being homeless, my daughter finally agreed to seek help. She had 3 therapy appointments, a qualified therapist would have seen the immediate need for medication, but instead scheduled her next appointment in 6 weeks. Sadly my daughter couldn't cope without medication and is back on the streets. It's now 3 years of heart break and fear for her safety. Our state needs to open more state run mental health facilities not providing more beds for the homeless. We need programs to help families learn to cope, theirs programs for drug and alcohol addiction but none for families like us.
