This woman is interested in ONE THING ONLY -- how much money she can get from your wallet. I used to work for her. She is unethical and has killed MANY dogs and cats and gotten away with it with fast talk and excuses. She will do ANYTHING in order to charge more for services -- in MANY cases actually doing great bodily harm to the patient with unwarranted procedures. Google her name and Department of Regulations. You will be shocked as to how she still has a license...

Rip, off scam artists!! They talked us into coming in for a free consultation and billed us on the backside from a debt collector, normal companies send invoices not debt collection agencies.. This place uses deception and lies to get you to come in for a visit and then secretly laugh while billing for a $140 visit that was supposed to be free. You are better off taking your pet some place else. Offices are Unclean and after further analysis seems to be a very unsafe environment for animals. Staff knows very little about animals, or customer service. STAY AWAY!

I have been in several times recently for several different reasons. Almost each and every time, one of the staff members is crying or complaining about something that Dr. Steyn had said to them or how she treated them. This is a nice facility, BUT would be much nicer if the staff were treated with respect. I dont recommend this place, OR their daycare. Their daycare staff has the highest turn around , I HAVE EVER SEEN. I miss the the girls whom came from The Dog Club!!! I wonder where they are now. The daycare staff doesnt even know my dogs name and I have been coming there since the opening day, over 2 years ago.

Monday July 8th 2013, my Rhodesian Ridgeback was diagnosed with dermoid sinus by a vet in Denver. Dermoid sinus is a very rare, serious genetic skin disorder developed in the embryotic stage primarily Ridgebacks. If the dermoid goes unnoticed it can abscess. Until surgery is performed, it is difficult to know if the sinus terminates in a "blind sac" that is less dangerous to remove or if it is connected to the spinal cord.

A Ridgeback breeder north of Denver recommended Dr. Steyn. She performed the surgery multiple times and on puppies as early as 5 days old. Izzy is 8 months which can mean a more complicated surgery because the dermoid continues to grow. After reading a lot devastating information on the web Monday night– I called Dr Steyn’s office at 8am Tuesday morning. Dr. Steyn was able to get Izzy in at 6:30 the same evening.

Dr. Steyn was incredible. She was confident she could remove the dermoid. The comfort I felt hearing those words at the moment and time were unspeakable. Once I digested Izzy was having surgery the next morning, Dr. Steyn explained she concerned about Izzy’s total health not just the dermoid. She noticed a discharge from Izzy’s vulva. Unfortunately, Izzy also had an inverted vulva which was diagnosed when she was spayed. The vet did not perform the surgery and suggested when Izzy was a year old going to a specialist. Dr Steyn suggested while removing the dermoid to also perform vulvaplasty to avoid any future problems with UTI and vaginitis.

Dr. Steyn scheduled the surgery for 7am the following day! Izzy had the best possible outcome with the dermoid and vulvaplasty. The end of the tube within the dermoid was closed. When Dr. Steyn tested for spinal fluid it came up negative so she was able to remove the entire dermoid.

Other information regarding Dr Steyn’s practice is unheard of in any of the veterinary practices I have experienced over the past 20 years of owning a dog. She believes in total transparency of her practice. Her vet assistants will give you a tour of the entire clinic which includes the examination room, rehab room, OR, day care and pool area where you can bring your dog to learn how to swim and use for exercise. Every door has two way glass so you can see every examination room. She allowed me to watch while she performed Izzy’s surgeries and be present as Izzy came out of the anesthesia.

I will make the 60 mile drive to Ft Collins to see Dr Steyn for Izzy’s yearly wellness exams. She is the only vet I will entrust with the health of my dog. There are no words that truly express my gratitude for Dr. Steyn and her entire staff. They are refreshingly unique in the world veterinary practices.

Dr Stein and her staff are friendly and professional. My experience was a planned appoitment with several dogs for health clearences and a seeman collection/evaluation. things quickly escalated with one of the girls developed a severe bacterial infection on her neck.
Dr. Stein worked dilligently with her staff and consulting U.C veterinaries to help diagnois and treat this ugly infection..
I was there with 6 dogs and no place to go . Kira was VERY sick and was in I.C I couldn't leave her. I live 5 hours away. What a predicament!
Dr. Heather put up all my dogs in her beautiful, healthy, clean indoor kennel. The dogs were fed, aired and kennel cleaned evryday before I even got there, I am still amazed at this. The facility also has a beautiful fully fenced exercise/agility field set up for more airing. Just amazing.!!!
Not being familiar with that part of Colo...Dr. Heathers sec found a close motel for me to stay in. As things became stable and Kiras owner flew out from So. Cal I drove home after 31/2 days there at the clinic. Vicki was taken very good care of and welcomed to join the care of 3 Xs a day care of sloughing off dead skin. The staff was NEVER anything but compassionate, accomidating, polite and truley caring
I also have frozen seeman from my CH-MH Labrador Blue Goose in storage with Dr. Steins cryo-bank. She has a healthy intrest and knowledge of successful breeding of dogs. Edna Schenck www.hiddenspringslabradors.com

I have been searching for an educated vet for a very long time. Dr. Steyn is the best vet I have seen in my life (I have seen too many other vets to say how many others I've tried in the past 24 years). They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated. She is the best I've ever seen in her field. I trust her advice over any other veterinarian. I'm confident that my pet's health and safety is their top priority. I've never had to remind them who I am or what my pet's condition is, they knew our names at our first appointment. She has the best staff and the most amazing facility.
