Dr Schafer is a wonderful Vet. He cares about the animals so much. He is thorough and efficient. His office staff s nice anc carign as well. I have been taking my pet to him since my pup was a few months old, He is now 13!

Buster had some kind of blood blister on his knee. After calling Banfield who was his regular vet and several other area veterinarians, Scotch Plains was the only one to take it seriously and ended up doing minor surgery the same day. I am forever indebted and impressed by the entire staff. Even the office manager stayed late.

Dr. Schafer and his staff are the very best and most caring vet I have ever come across in NJ.

He recently showed such patience and care for two of my three cats that were diagnosed with hyperthyroid. They could not tolerate the pills, and I tried everything.

Finally, he and his staff helped me locate an affordable vet pharmacy that compounds transdermal solutions. So far, so good. They have not thrown up and have regained their appetite, energy levels and are back to normal.

I am SO grateful to Dr. Schafer and Stacy for helping me through these trying times. Dr. Schafer personally called me several times to answer my questions and during my panic when I inadvertently overdosed my babies. They have now come through fine ... and I have my deepest respect for and gratitude to Dr. Schafer and his caring and professional staff.

I HIGHLY, HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Schafer and the Scotch Plains Animal Hospital in NJ.
