I started going to Dr. Santamarina because two vets before him couldn't cure my cat of a serious and recurring infection. Dr. Santamarina's expertise immediately diagnosed and cured him. Having had many cats over the years, I know that not all vets like working with cats, but Santamarina and his staff are great with them. In fact his office has cats roaming around which makes the visit a joy. I have been going to him for years now and recommend him highly.

On May 13th, 2014 we lost our beloved pet and companion and member of our family due to this clinic negligence. We had our 6 years old health French bulldog go in the morning with a soar and painful paw. The animal was extremely nervous, overwhelmed, agitated, and because of this he bit the technician on his finger. After the incident and his treatment, the Dr (Dr. Santamarina) finally called me later that afternoon to tell me of his treatment (which included undocumented injections and antibiotics). I asked to give Louie a medicated bath before I picked him up. This is where retaliation towards my dog took place. The technician (Luis Zarate) proceeded to place a leather muzzle on Louie's short snout. As a former vet tech myself for 8 years, I have obviously always known better than to place a hard leather muzzle on a dog with such short snout, which causes breathing problems. French and English bulldogs, along with pugs, have nostrils which point almost completely upward, causing a leather muzzle to asphyxiate the dog with the mouth also closed. Our 30lb pet was brutally choked due to the negligence of this clinic and ALL the staff, including the vet, Dr. Santamarina. Who know what kind of aggression was taken out on our beloved Louie, and other animals that might visit this clinic. The doctor, the techs, and all the staff from this clinic should be fined and we will fight for it, in order for all of the, to be fined. This WILL NOT bring out pet back, but al least we will know that they will no longer hurt, or neglect any other animal.

The next time my pet gets sick, there is no way I would ever bring them back to #fullname|business~this veterinarian# again. I would never trust them to take care of my pet. Whenever my pet is sick, I'm worried they won't be able to get us in for an appointment. I usually have to schedule it months in advance.

I Took my Cat Misha for a bath and for her nails to be cutted, My poor cat was beatdown. Came home with the mouth bleading,bruises in her face and a broken tail. Will never go back to this office, I will not blame Dr. Santamarina, He was probably not aware of what happens in the back of the office... Reported the incident to Eilenn the office manager, who became very defensive..Misha will never go back there
