My wife visited a chiropractic clinic back in 2012 in Centreville VA. We received a letter on Jan. 2015 from a chiropractic clinic in Rockville MD (Kim's chiropractic) saying we owe them $140. Because we didn't recognized the location of the clinic, we disregard the letter as a fraud. Last week, we started receiving letters from a collection agency (Rapid Recovery Credit & Collections) that threaten court action against us. That's when I decided to contact the clinic in Rockville MD to find out what's going on. It turns out the clinic has two locations, one of which is in Centreville VA, the one my wife visited.

We are not disputing the visit, but it's very strange to be charged 3 1/2 years after the visit (we don't even remember the year of the visit, the lady at the clinic provided me with the date). We visited all kinds of clinics and hospitals and have medical insurances and have clean records in turns of paying our medical bills. It's unfathomable for us to walked out after a medical service without any payment. When I asked if it's a standard practice for their clinic to let patient walked out after the service without paying, the lady on the phone said yes. I've never in my life experience any medical facility that let patients walked out without paying, beside emergency room visit. It's so long ago we simply don't remember if we paid cash or credit card, and which was used. We simply don't have records dated back that long! Even let's just say we for some absurd reason walked out the clinic without paying, how come we never received any medical bill from them a month, 2 months or 3 months later? That they decided to bill us 3 1/2 years later? It's just absurd.

I don't believe the burden of proof is on us and we are not willing to pay for their bad book keeping, and furthermore be bully by the collection agency into submission.

They were very qualified and knowledgeable. I could tell that they've been doing their job well for quite a while. This chiropractor has never misdiagnosed me. They always are able to find the source of my pain. One thing I really liked, was that they kept me updated about where I was at in the recovery process, and how long before I would be fully recovered. It gave me more of an idea about how much time I could expect to be recovering, and encouraged me on all the progress I had made. They've never used foul language, which has bothered me at some of the other places I've been too. They always make an extra effort to be polite and courteous. They're always able to answer simple questions over the phone. They only make me schedule appointments if necessary.

They really paid a lot of attention to my problem area, which is the reason I went. When I told them where I was in pain they put much of their focus on eliminating discomfort in that area. Not only were they able to provide everything they promised me, they went above and beyond and exceeded my expectations. Not only did I have no more pain after my adjustment, but I felt great afterward. I definitely saw a huge difference. I never have to worry about them overbooking appointments. They definitely believe in quality over quantity here and it is much appreciated.
