I would say that Judy has an extremely unique system for psychotherapy: If it had to have a title, it would be "Passive Aggressive, Attempted Therapy". I know, it doesn't make sense. But then neither does staring blankly and remaining silent despite anything the client might say. A truly odd experience that I wouldn't recommend to a dog.

I wouldn't return to that office if my life depended on it.
Got to be the coldest, most distant and unapproachable therapist in Ithaca.
As for abilities to actually help someone in grave pain, the woman has no game. She actually made me feel embarrassed that I was in her office.
Never known anyone to be so incredibly arrogant and sullen.
Easily the worst experience with a therapist I have ever had.

Dr. Judy Raabe is an extremely smart, skilled, caring, thoughtful, and dedicated therapist. I am a Clinical Psychologist who has been practicing in Ithaca for over 10 years. For the past 6-7 years, I have participated in a professional peer consultation group with Dr. Raabe and several other highly respected therapists in town.

Through the years of participating in these professional groups with Dr. Raabe, I have come to know her clinical work well. I am continually impressed with her depth of knowledge and experience, her insightfulness about her clients and ours, her tremendous caring and empathy, her ability to be both gentle and gently challenging, and her facility in using both active/ directive therapeutic strategies as well as more receptive/exploratory strategies, depending on her clients’ needs.

When my caseload is full and I need to make a referral, Dr. Raabe is the first name I give. I know that Dr. Raabe will provide excellent care and that any client who works with her will be in highly skilled, caring, wise, and impeccably ethical hands.

Not very well. I had to really look for it before I found it.

No, they've never taken personal calls with me
