I've had to go to counseling since I was a child........I hated it! I was told to go to C.P.I. and I found my place. I've had several different counselors and each one has been great. I have learned so much about myself and I strongly recommend C.P.I. if you have any issues you want help with.

I went to CPI probably 8 years ago or more & from what I remember it was here that I actually learned about my condition & began working through it so that I was able to identify problematic areas in my life.

While everyone is friendly enough when speaking with you, the receptionist would often be too busy on Facebook and texting to bother to look up to see me standing there waiting to pay.
But, my main concern is the exceedingly low quality of counseling provided. The counseling staff are exclusively unsupervised students. The first one was a nice guy, but very inept, and every visit was re-traumatizing. It took quite a lot of painfully awkward discussion with him and his boss, to get a different counselor.
The second counselor kept insisting that I had to go get anal probes before we could talk. He kept changing the subject back to that, about a half dozen times. I'm a male survivor of rape, so that was exquisitely painfully, uncomfortable for me. I tried to tell him, to show it with body language too. But, he never took in a clue.
I haven't been back since. I don't trust them. They do more harm than good. For me, all harm and no good.
