Outstanding! You'll be hard pressed to find a more qualified psychiatrist in the DFW area. Dr. Imam is knowledgeable, patient, and understanding. You can tell he works hard to ensure his patients are given the best care possible. I'd highly recommend him to anyone of any age.

Just saw him today. Dr. Imam always makes me laugh. I leave feeling better then when I came in. He answers all of my questions and educations me about my medications all in the same visit. I think he's irreplaceable!!!

I do not normally write any reviews unless I have a horrible experience. This is the exception. Dr. Quazi Imam is probably the most qualified and experienced doctor we have seen for my son over the last 13 years. His regular doctor passed away and we bounced around to numerous doctors while his condition continued to deteriorate. We went to Dr. Imam because he was close and he took our insurance (only reason). We had felt like we were about gave up and thank God we stayed the course. We went for the first appointment and let me assure you that I was ready to walk out during the first meeting. His office was not like an office that we normally encountered while visiting other doctors and he spoke fast and sometimes hard to understand. My son liked him and we decided to go back to him after the lab work. We had nothing to lose and nowhere else to go. I really did not want to go back to him because I judged him on his office and phone availability. I was ready to leave but where would we go? During the second appointment I had an “aha” moment that came to me as what he said made sense. Nothing was working and he looked me in the eye and said I can help your son. He does not write prescriptions on the first visit and so if you are strictly looking for drugs he is not your first choice. He wrote all new prescriptions and told us to discontinue the ones he was on. So we put our faith in him and my son began to dramatically improve and I believe that he will be totally independent soon. If you can place your trust in him for a period of time, I believe that he will make a difference in your life as he has done in ours. He is honest, compassionate, caring, competent and careful with the medications. After all we have been through over the years Dr. Imam is a true blessing and I would not hesitate to send anyone to him.

Never met a psychiatrist like him. He is eager to tell you about your diagnosis and what medications are not good for you. I did not know that the side effect of my medicaiton was what was causing some of my problem. He explained things in a way I could understand.

Dr. Imam is not the right psychiatrist for everyone. He takes his work very seriously with the goal of bettering today's children through ethical medical practices. He views drugs as "training wheels" to improve the immediate situation so that therapy can work. The whole family is treated through counseling that he provides - instead of sending you off to a counselor to do the rest of your treatment. He wants to see his young patients improve and thrive in society without the use of medications for the rest of their lives. If you are simply looking for a Dr to write you an Rx - find a different Dr. If you are looking for a simple solution to a complex problem - look somewhere else. But - if you want the very best for your child - safe medication and counseling to develop the necessary skills to manage their issues - and are willing to put in the effort to make this happen - then visit Dr. Imam.
