I came to see Dr Flagel for my child's cough and runny nose. She ended up telling me my husband & I needed counseling because my child was crying. He definitely did not want to be in the doctor's office, he was sick and it was nap time - why wouldn't he be crying??! I was very disappointed. Instead of addressing the issue we came there for, she insisted on telling me how dangerous my child's behavior was and how we needed to show him consequences. Giving a 22 month old a time out like she suggested might work for some children but she definitely does not know my child. Soft words and a little distraction work better. Suggesting my husband & I go to counseling was even worse - who is this woman?! I could have used some advise about my child's cough instead she shoved a prescription for antibiotics at me and left. I had the best pediatrician in California who listened first and foremost and did not try to lecture - he simply treated the ailment. He was a professional who understood toddlers cry and get frightened at the sight of a stranger especially one who wants to poke them.

Everyone at Flagel Pediatric and Family Medicine is wonderful. They go above and beyond to help my family. As long as they are here they will be our doctors we could not ask for kinder or better doctors in our area.
