I had purchased a groupon for a mani/pedi. The first time I called to try to make an appt, they asked me right away if i hada groupon. When I said 'yes' Sixta said she didn't have any appointments available for 2-3 weeks. I called a couple of days later to try to book an appt under the guise of NOT having a groupon and she made my appt right away. Unfortunately, I had to cancel it. The 3rd time I tried to book an appt, I was asked about a groupon again and I said I didn't have one and she got me in 2 days later at 9am. I showed up promptly at 9am for my appt and the door was locked. I waited a few minutes and someone showed up. I told them that I had an appt and she said she would call Sixta. I went down the block to get coffee and when I returned, the doors were locked again and the lady had left. I was about to leave when another stylist showed up. I told her the situation and she too offered to call Sixta. She got Sixta on the phone and Sixta had her ask me if I had a Groupon. Well, I had to say yes because i was already there and Sixta said she was not going to go in to the salon today because her son was home from the navy. She would not honor my appt. 2 hours later, I called groupon to complain and get a refund (which I got). Then, I called the salon again to see if I could make a formal complaint and let them know how dissatisfied i am and guess what?! Sixta was there! I said "I thought you weren't coming in today. This is your 9am appt." She hung up on me. Overall, not a good vibe there. Don't go. They ignored my questions and my appointment seemed rushed. Their staff was not that friendly, and didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. I found the office, but only because I had simple, very clear directions. I wish it had been easier to locate.

Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. I had the hardest time finding their office, and I usually have a good sense of direction. I bought a Groupon and boy what a mistake,false advertisement the hairdresser had only less then a year experience and licenced in the state of Florida for only 9 months her Groupon stated over a decade of experience"washing hair at another salon in the area"its a cheese place and I made a complaint to Groupon.BTW NO Salon on Dixi charges 150 bucks for a wash ,cut and blow and conditioner Groupon sold me the coupon for 49 bucks.What a RIP OFF! the salon across the street SAlon 770 had a groupon for the same service for 19 bucks.

Based on my experience, I wouldn't recommend them to my friends or family. I felt very rushed. They barely spent two minutes with me and almost completely ignored me. Their prices were not fair at all. They were extremely overpriced and I felt ripped off. The stylist has no clue what she was doing but the nails was just ok?

Their staff was somewhat friendly, but they didn't go out of their way to make me feel welcome. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. It was pretty hard to find the building, but I eventually found it. Getting an appointment at this office wasn't too difficult. I had my color done by Marilyn and she messed it up I was there 4 hours and IT could not fix it I had to go someplace else,I will NEVER GO BACK!

It is impossible to get an appointment at their office. They are always booked and have a long waiting list. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. They didn't tell me anything about my treatment options. I left feeling very confused and frustrated. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there.
I was very upset to see a hairdresser who had worked at another salon in the area she is a transexual Marilyn Rivera and her born name was Ruben Rivera and had been arrested and served time in prison in State Of New Jersey Department Of Corrections SBI 000519772C for burglary,distribution of drugs on a school property"twice" When I told the salon owner she refused my service.her salon is a block away from a elementary school.Pretty sad.

Sixta is the only Nail Salon in Aventura that has this great new product Shellac. It lasts for over 2 weeks without chipping. Sixta is a professional that loves her work. Give it a try ,you will be amazed but be sure to make an appointment. she is a busy lady.
