this is the worse dentist I have ever been to. every time I made an appointment with them they just keap on calling me an cancel about over ten appointments. I just had enough with this dentist office so I took my daughter somewhere else. it took me four months to try to get an appointment at this office but the other dental office I took her to I call them on Monday and by Tuesday the same week my daughter got her wisdom teeth removed.

Serious, painful issues after routine wisdom teeth surgery. Scheduled an emergency follow-up visit. Dr. Patel barely did an exam and did not take time to properly clean and treat the dry socket (no packing). His solution was more and stronger narcotics. Was told everything was healing fine and the severe pain and swelling was perfectly normal, even though it had been a week and a half after surgery. Three weeks later with no improvement. Sought a second opinion from another oral surgeon and was told that area was, in fact, infected and not healing and draining properly and the swelling and pain was not normal as Dr. Patel had suggested. Infected area was cleaned and packed and this will be the fourth follow-up for cleaning and packing scheduled for next week. Hopefully on the road to recovery over a month later no thanks to Dr. Patel though.

I highly recommend Dr. Patel. I was apprehensive about potential pain that I may experience during a biopsy of my tongue tissue. Dr. Patel actually made the procedure totally painless. He answered all questions asked and his staff members were very attentive throughout the procedure. He exemplifies the best in medical/oral surgery practice. A true "10" on a 5 star scale.

After switching general dentists, I was told that all four of my wisdom teeth were severely decayed and would need to be pulled as soon as possible. (I had been feeling increasing pain in them, but my former dentist had disregarded my complaints.) I was concerned about undergoing the procedure because I only had a four-day period to recover before traveling back to Philadelphia for graduate school. I had heard horror stories from friends who had gotten their wisdom teeth pulled at an older age with other dentists/oral surgeons and was admittedly nervous about having to return to school in pain/having to find a follow-up dentist in Philadelphia for complications. Dr. Patel not only was able to accommodate my schedule but also made it the most painless surgical experience ever. I was feeling better the next day – other than a minor soreness. Tylenol was sufficient enough to counter the minimal discomfort. My swelling and pain was 100% gone in less than 48 hours. Three weeks later, I still have none of the complications that many of my other friends experienced with other providers. Additionally, Dr. Patel’s office is spacious and clean. The staff is professional and welcoming – which made the entire experience that much better. I am so thankful that I contacted Dr. Patel for my extractions.

As a mom I needed a dentist who could help with pulling a tooth for myself as well as for my four year old son. I assumed I'd have to find two different places, but luckily I was recommended to visit Dr. Patel. Not only was his office very professional and experienced with setting up the appointment, but Dr. Patel was great in explaining the procedures to me clearly - as well as making my son feel at ease. The best part was after the procedures, my son recovered in less than a day back to his normal happy self. My experience was even better, as I felt less pain and swelling over having a tooth pulled than from any other dentist I've been to before. And both Dr. Patel and his secretary called multiple times after our appointments to make sure we were recovering ok. Heading out to Lorton was a bit of a trek for me - but it was definitely worth the drive!

I had my wisdom teeth taken out at the age of 32, and Dr.Patel somehow managed to make it the most painless procedure i have ever had... I was too scared and freaked out to let my regular dentist take my wisdom teeth out just cuz it was so late for this, most people have their wisdom teeth taken out in high school, but Dr.Patel managed somehow to make it the least painful possible. He took out all 4 wisdom teeth and I didnt even need any pain meds after 2 days! I think he has some kind of deal worked out with the tooth fairy! After all the painful stories I have heard from my friends, I could not believe that Dr.Patel managed to get all my wisdom teeth at such a late age, and WITHOUT horrible pain. He's a very easy person to talk to, and I wish I had gone to him much earlier! much better than any dr I have ever been to
