I set an appointment to meet with Dr. Rosenfeld. I filled out the new patient form. Once Dr. Rosenfeld called me in. He began to ask me why I was there. As soon as I started to talk to let him know what was going on with me, he would interrupt me as if he knew what I was going to say. Immediately, without even examining me to test of range of motion, he asked me to lay on my stomach and placed some electrodes on the right side of my neck and on top of my right shoulder blade and then placed a heating pad. He said it would take 10 minutes and walked away. He never told me before doing anything what he was going to do. He came after 10 minutes and began to manipulate my spine...again without guiding me as to what he was doing, then just as quickly asked me to turn on my back and then started to twist my neck, again without explaining what he was doing. I clearly told him that this was my first time in a chiropractice office. He took some xrays of my neck and asked me to come the following day to obtain the results of the xray. Since I do not have insurance, I was charged $150 for a 30 minute visit. The receptionist told me that the following day, there wasn't going to be a charge, since the doctor was only going to read the results of the xray. The following morning I was at their office at 10am. At 10:10 I was called in. He took me to a room, where he showed me the xray of my neck. He said I have sublexation on my neck and that I would need to have 2 x a time sessions to try to loosen me up. I tried to ask him questions, but again, he was rushing. Then he told me to lay down on my stomach...and I was confused because the receptionist told me the day before that all we were doing was getting results. When I went to ask him, he simply responded by saying, "Just lay down on your stomach." He placed the electrodes and the same heating pad....told me he would be back in 10 mins. I couldn't even relax, since the table was so uncomfortable, it was hurting my neck even more. Dr. Rosemblum cam back after 10 minutes and I sat up, he said,"No stay down I'm going to do treatment. I told him what his secretary told and also that I was in a hurry since I had to catch a flight to Boston. He asked me to make an appointment with the receptionist. I went to the front desk, requested a copy of my xray, asked if there was going to be a charge, I was told that there would be no charge, I signed the release, and I head out. Suddenly the receptionist called me back and told me that I had a $50 co-pay. I was told her that why was I paying when the receptionist told me the day before that I did not have to pay, since it was only going to be a discussions of test results. The doctor stormed out and started to shout at me telling me that he had just spent 30 minutes with me and I wanted it to be free??? I shouted back at him and told him that he had NOT spent 30 minutes with me, and that he needs to train his staff better since I was told that there would be no charge. I basically stormed out of the office. I would not recommend this practice to anyone. The doctor is rude, impatient, and does not take time to calmly explain patients what he is doing prior to doing any manipulation. He rushes his consultations, which means that he is more concern with seeing the maximum amount of patients, to get the maximum amount of $$$, and adequate and compassionate care is not even considered. Dr. Rosemblum treats his patients as if they are all the same, he does not care to individualize care. I asked him if he takes xrays again after a certain amount of treatment to see if treatment is working, he said that he doesn't do that. I am glad that Dr. Rosemblum showed his true colors so early in the treatment, this saved me having to endure his attitude and lack of professionalism. My suspicion of Dr. Rosemblum was confirmed on day two. When I met him I felt uneasy with him, but tried to give him the benefit of the doubt, but when I met him the second time, he turned to be a money hungry-self-interest "doctor." I hate to call someone a doctor, when instead they behaved like someone who truly doesn't care for one's well being. Glad is over!!
