The vets/doctors are excellent and very, very caring. Dr E is a brilliant individual that not only cares about animals but about people. His experience provides endless knowledge and foresight to me dical illnesses and puzzling conditions. He hasn't been stumped by a medical issue with my pets as of yet. Both vets are very dependable responsible and informative. I feel confident putting my pets health in their care.

About 10 yrs ago, I took one of my dogs (in a panic) to a 24 hrs clinic on a holiday with what I was told was a contagious to humans parasite affecting the skin. The visit was triple the usual fee because it was a holiday and paid an high cost for meds to find out from the vet at Merryfield it was a case of black fly bites. (The vet just knew without even looking.) Not contagious and the marks went away after a few days. Live and learn.

A puppy came to me when someone accepted a pup but determined it was filled with fleas and was too skinny to be considered healthy. Not wanting the responsibility, I was asked to take the pup by a friend and get it back to health and find a home. I happen to have an appt scheduled for one of my own dogs annual visits and took in the sick pup instead. The pup was seen by the vet and because of her condition, attracted the concern by a 2nd vet. They did a great job at identifying a few illnesses the dog had. About two days later, I called with an update and the 2nd vet, Dr. D, got on the phone. In thinking Dr D picked up the wrong line, I explained which vet I was on hold for and she nicely explained she understood but wanted to know about the pup. It was such a sweet and caring surprise that the vet took the time to inquire when she clearly didn't have to.

I was boarding my dogs for a few days while on a trip for work and later I get an update that the owner checked on my dog while kenneled. He gave him a bath and treated my dog for allergies which we were battling on a seasonal basis. It was reassuring to know my dog was being supervised and provided with great care.

I can go on about the wonderful support and care the vets have provided and share many stories that would only support my high praise and review of the vet service. I truly feel the owner Dr E makes the pets and animals the first priority.

They are truly a dedicated team at Merryfield Animal Hospital.

Dr. Engstrom and staff are excellent! You can tell that they truly love these animals and do everything possible to help them. We brought our 9 yr old lab in as she was having trouble breathing, Doc said to leave her with him and he'd run some tests---unfortunately she had an inoperable tumor but he showed such compassion that she couldn't have had a better place to be treated. Wonderful, wonderful place!

Always, there's no fear of your pet going hungry or thirsty here. They have bowls all over the office.

They paid close attention to me and all of my questions were answered. Their staff is very friendly and professional. I was very satisfied with my visit. They were helpful and I left feeling encouraged. The office was very easy to locate. I didn't have any trouble finding it at all. My family has used Merryfield for all our Pets. They all lived long and healthy lives. The staff is all there to answer all questions and they care.
