We miss her so much. Best care for our dogs.

Met me at the office on a holiday after my dog was attacked by another dog. Robin was very rude to me in front of my very anxious child, more concerned about the dog's name and the fact that he hadn't been neutered, even though he was in shock. Required I pay 200 deposit upfront before even touching him, Refused to x-ray or pay attention to his leg, Made rude comments and complained about her holiday being ruined. She did surgery and patched him back up, I again asked her to look at his leg which she gave him a quick once over and dismissed the situation. Surgery went fine, He recovered but still has problems with his hind leg, seems to have nerve damage, occasionally cannot walk on the leg. As a Registered Nurse, I found her rude attitude and complaints in a tense situation very disconcerting, Her dismissal of my concerns about the damage to my dog's leg neglectful. I would have never behaved in such a way in front of my patients, I can understand requesting funds upfront although I feel that she doesn't do this with everyone, maybe because I was covered in blood and dirt from breaking up a dog fight and trying to care for my animal, I don't know. But she did do the basic care and surgery, he is alive today even though he doesn't have full use of his hind leg. I don't think that I should have had to defend my dog's name, in an emergent situation or any situation even though I did not name the animal. It could have been handled with a bit of compassion, which was clearly lacking and her disdain for the animal, or maybe myself, was extremely prevalent as well as her holiday being impinged upon and ruined.

About 5 or 6 years ago our female terrier mix dog got a huge gash in her right side. We think a owl got a hold of her. She finally showed up around 2 am in the morning bleeding pretty good on her side and very weak. While we were on our way to the vet. we stopped 2 times because we thought we had lost her. We called Robin and she meet us at her office. Robin did surgery that night and our terrier stayed about 3 days. She was not sure if she would make it or not. She made it. Robin did an excellent job and is a very caring vet. I would take any animal I have to her without question. If you love your pet you will see Robin.

It's very easy to have a bad experience with your loved one when they're ailing. I'd say the 2012 review by supposed, petlover was an emotionally driven cheap-shot. Robin is very busy, very well liked in our community and isn't about to put cash over your pet's well-being.
Gainsville vet clinic has always been there for us, both Robin and Dr Main are caring individuals and will tend to your needs as the professionals they are. Yes, we've had times with certain problems when they weren't able to help us, but hindsight proved to us, Robin only turned down a case for our pets well-being, not because they were rude or uncaring. She obviously was intelligent enough to know, our pet needed to be in a 24-7 hospital setting with constant observation, which they don't profess to offer. Had she been, "money hungry" she would have taken our loved one in and things probably would have went south from there. Our pet ended up needing exploratory surgery in the middle of the night. THANKFULLY, Robin was smart enough, and cared enough, to send us to a hospital. Robin and Dr. Main are two of the nicest, caring, most informative people we've used for over 16 years in the area. So, consider what it is you're asking of them before you start calling them unwarranted names. FYI: Dr. Main does the out of office farm calls, Robin does the smaller animals/in clinic services. Couldn't ask for a better team when your loved ones and farm animals are in need! We're so thankful these folks are here!

They barely gave me any information at all. I'm going to have to do my own research to get my questions answered. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. The office was easy enough to find. Extreme money hungry will let animals die if you don't have the HUGE wad of cash to pay for services. There are to many other super vets up in Ava to put up with her! Drive a few miles and save 100's or 1000's if you care about your pet at all !
