The vets and staff here were so nice and helpful; I have already told anyone I talk to that loves their companions to go to Emergency Vet Services of Lisle. This is obviously an older business, but I understand ownership recently changed and I believe renovations are planned. On my recent visit they had some state of the art items (blood work equipment, digital x-ray, etc.) that even my 'usual' clinic doesn't have. I wish they had a regular clinic as well as the emergency clinic. I'd start going there in a heartbeat for the routine care of my dogs. Dr Smith is incredibly compassionate. She understands my emotional connection to my dogs. Even though I am a 'worrisome' type and brought my dogs to her when I wasn't even sure they were actually sick, she has never made me feel like an idiot or a neurotic 'mom.' Which I very much appreciate. And my babies love her! I have a fussy girl who is not that great with people a lot of times, but she likes Dr Smith. :-)

I went there for an emergency visit. I had to wait my turn but it did not take long. The vet was responsive and informative. He did not push unnecessary medications.

Just as a side note, I was very impressed with how conveniently located this business was and how close it was to other shopping centers. It was so easy to find, I didn't have any trouble at all. I was pleased that they were able to answer all of my questions. I left feeling very informed about pet care. Unlike other veterinarians I've been too, I have never seen them appear overwhelmed by too many pets. They are extremely organized and make sure the vet has plenty of time to see each patient for as long as necessary. I was seen almost as soon as I walked in the door. I didn't have to reorganize my day around my appointment at all.

On 2/18/2011 I rushed my dog rascal there to ring the door bell 3 times and to have a vet wipe the crust out of his eyes give my dog a few pills and shove us out the door for 200 bucks of course. That night my dog was still bleeding which they told me would stop and it didnt so I called them back. They were closed so I rushed him to the vet in Downers Grove which saved his life. My dog became anemic from blood loss due to the simple fact they did not check him because he needed stitches. They did not even give him a cone or a bandage. When I called back to complain we had to take him to a real doctor the girl vet tech told me to never come back, a few vulgar words and hung up on me. Save yourself the time, money and possibly your pets life. Do'nt ever go there ride the couple extra blocks to downers grove, naperville or aurora.
