I was worried that I must have gotten wrong directions because I was practically out in the boondocks by the time I reached their building. The staff and veterinarian were completely unhelpful when it came to any advice on what I could be doing to keep my pet healthy and happy, they're supposed to be the experts I thought. Tufts withheld information I needed to give consent for surgery. They knew that my greyhound had whipworm which would cause his illness, but withheld the information. Instead, they recommended $4700.00 worth of surgery. Tufts then failed to administer the Panacur that they had prescribed for my dog while he was hospitalized. They diagnosed my greyhound with inflammatory Bowel Disease based on his lack of improvement from the Panacur treatment that, in fact, they had failed to administer. They prescribed prednisone therapy that would make my dog deathly ill because of the untreated parasites. When I complained, Tufts lied to me and told me my greyhound had received the full course of Panacur. I obtained the medical record which showed Tufts had prescribed the Panacur but had not administered it.

They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. I knew I was getting top-of-the-line treatment when they told me about what they learned at the latest conference they attended, and how they were incorporating that knowledge into the practice. I was pretty surprised with how far away this business was from everything. It took me forever to get there and I kept getting lost. But it was worth the weekly and daily trips.

My Siberian Husky "Husso" had cancer. He was subjected to two operations, 16 sessions of radiation and Chemotherapy four times. My dog was released as a paitient on August 13, 2004. He is now 15 years old as of January 18, 2011 and is still going strong.

We thank the staff and all the care takers. We would love to reach out to Dr. Jennifer Locke to thank her personally for her great decisions during the treatment. She was great!!!

We will always be thankful for our decision to go to Tufts.
