This is not the place to go for routine everyday pet needs, like flea meds, vaccinations, & dental cleaning. They will charge you up the whazoo, for every little thing, as well as for things you didn't ask for or need.

I asked the vet there to tell me how to express my dog's glands so I could do it on my own at home. I did it myself in the office, and then I was billed for it. Yup, you heard right! They charged me for expressing my own dog's glands. Unbelievable.

Anyhow, that just about describes this place and their relationship with clients in a nutshell. Their goal is to make you suck every last dime out of you that they possibly can. The wait list for a dental cleaning is over two years, and costs more than twice the cost of other local vets. Because it is a teaching hospital, they take their time, and the poor dog is put under far longer than is healthy.

The only thing they are good for is maybe emergencies, but frankly the vet in Gilbert responds immediately too even in the wee hours of the morning. And it cost much less.
