I was so disappointed to find out that Dr. Maro is only concerned about the money.
My ex-husband has paid about three thousands dollars over the last 2 months for treatments and some medicine for our dog who has anal cancer. He asked if he could be billed for his last appointment to be paid in the next couple of weeks and was sent away without any concern or treatment for the sick dog.
I wish we had done more research to find a doctor who really cares about their patients.

VERY BAD experience! They completed numerous services, procedures, and tests that were not needed and/or even related to the original symptoms for my pet. All of their services, medications, and even pet supplies are ridiculously overpriced. THIS A FOR PROFIT BUSINESS ONLY! They also seem driven to recommend long term and even alternative treatments and services in order to continue milking their customers for cash. Also, I felt like they were using "guilt" as a leverage tool to persuade me into purchasing additional unnecessary and very expensive tests and services for my sick pet. Their business practices seemed more centered on making a buck rather than providing care for helpless animals. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PROFIT DRIVEN COMPANY TO ANYONE!

I started taking my feline to Chippewa Animal Hospital in 2010 based on a recommendation from a colleague. At that time, my 2 1/2-year old feline had a number of issues perhaps stemming from being a stray or runaway. Initially I took him to a local Pittsburgh vet clinic, and their first hands-on action was to give him a complete set of vaccines despite him having an already compromised immune system. Well, this was unacceptable, hence I took him to Chippewa Animal Hospital. They have brought him back to almost perfect health--the critical issues were identified and treated, including his energetic balance which I know is important. The experience and thoroughness of Dr. Maro and her team is really valued. I really trust my feline's health with them. The only drawback is that it can be expensive because pet health insurance doesn't cover the many ailments that we discovered up front.

Absolutely, I knew exactly what my pet had and what treatment options were available.
