I have been a patient at Ada West Dermatology for 14+ years and have ALWAYS had positive experiences. The administration staff is exceptionally professional, they are sensitive to patient privacy, and are polite and friendly. Medical care is provided by skillful doctors and nurses who show compassion, fully explain procedures, and prognosis.

I had an open sore on my breast that had been there for almost a month. I had been to my primary care provider, who referred me to a breast cancer specialist. He then referred me to a dermatologist. My primary care provider wanted to send me to Ada West Dermatology. It took them three days to call me to set up the appointment. They then told me it would be almost three weeks before they could see me, even though I had an open draining wound because "we don't have emergency appointments." They should have informed my primary care provider how long it would be before they could see me instead of wasting my time and drawing out what was already an horrible experience that was leaving me in tears on a daily basis. They might have great dermatologists, but they don't treat patients in crisis in an understanding manner.

I did not have a good experience. I took my 18 month old in b/c of a rash in his diaper area. A scraping was performed which was painful and traumatic to my baby while the PA is telling me that this shouldn't be hurting him. It did hurt him and was red and bothersome to him even after. Nothing was put on to help with the discomfort even after I asked. I still don't know what the purpose of the scraping was as I was never told. After a 2nd Dr. came in a left, 4 girls came in and I was told they were going to do a biopsy (I assume the 4 girls were there to hold my baby down). I thought that this was not a good idea to do in that appointment given I had my other young boy there, and my baby was already extremely traumatized from the last procedure. Instead of being understanding and sensitive to my wishes, the PA made me feel as though I was being a wimp. I left so frustrated. I was very disappointed with our experience and I will not be returning!
