AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This woman does not have a degree in psychology! Her PhD is in "Human services" which has nothing to do with psychology. Also, the Board of Psychology in this state does not recognize internet universities. She is a fraud.

Just wish that my very accurate review of
Dr(?) Goodwin was not distorted and
unable to be read by others? Not sure
if unable to be read by all readers? Maybe
this is how Goodwin blocks reviews that
are credible and she is unable to have the
review removed from the site? If so, more
dirty tactics by the one who sets the
poor standard.

Dr(?) Carla Goowin is not a psychologist in the state of Massachusetts. She.presents herself in an unprofessional manner. Her demeaned turns hostile if she takes on complicated divorce cases, which is why her service is required. She prefers the simple '"tweaking" of visitation changes rather than focus on very serious issues like kidnapping and
sexual abuse issue. She wrote a letter to the court withdrawing as her role of parent coordinator because her competency to manage our difficult
divorce became overwhelming. She can be spiteful and extremely hostile when her being inept is exposed. She is not a licensed psychologist and I believe her degree is from an Internet school in an unrelated field.
Avoid her stall costs$$$. She is in a very dangerous role within the courts as she has power over serious issues in your divorce. She also has Goodwin Real Estate right next to her parent coordinator office. She colluded with my husband regarding a short sale of our house with zero financial evidence that this was even a reasonable option. The real estate
office clouds her judgment. It was certainly not in the best interests of our family. Avoid her being appointed to your family and good luck to you if
court ordered to work with her!

It appears that it is no secret that "Dr" Goodwin
got her "degree" through an internet school.
It appears that it is in an unrelated field for
which she claims to be an expert. She is
not a psychologist in the state of
Massachusetts. If you look up her name
on the state licensing board for psychologist,
you will not find her listed. She is a fraud!
She is in a role that is far beyond her
scope of knowledge, training or licensure.
She yields a lot of power over your life and
the courts do not have the time or care to
research the providers who they expect to
be able to make major decisions for
the judges.

She is vindictive and extremely defensive
if she is questioned. She is aware of how
inept she is and will retaliate if her
inappropriate decisions and unprofessionalism
is challenged. She held a session with my
husband and two youngest children. She
discussed our marital issues and financial
problems in their presence. She had no
understanding of special education laws
or services for our children. This was one
of the reasons she was selected for our
family. She demanded that I attend a
joint session with my husband when I had
a restraining order against him. I am
a professional in this field and was
appalled by her lack of knowledge and
unprofessionalism. I wrote her several
emails requesting help with my husband
who was kidnapping my oldest son. She
ignored all of my requests and focused on
"tweaking" a visitation schedule that was
already working. I now know that this is
one of the few "powers" parent coordinators
have within the court to change court
orders. We paid her over $2,000 to "tweak"
court ordered visitation that was not
presenting any problems. She chose to
ignore kidnapping, sexual abuse issues and
any and all special educational issues our
children faced. She was in way over her head
with the needs of our family. She also focused
on my husband's wish to foreclose or short
sale our family home when we had the
financial means to pay the mortgage. This
is a huge conflict of interest as Goodwin
Real Estate is literally right across the hall
from her office! This is when her
incompetence and vindictiveness
eroded my credibility with the court. She
retaliated by telling the court I was too
difficult to work with and withdrew from
her role as parent coordinator. That was
the only good news. It can be a nightmare
to get rid of a bad coordinator. She cost
us thousands of dollars and she retaliated
when her inept and unprofessionalism
where recognized. Our family was more
chaotic and traumatized by her inability
to make any decisions. The professional
thing for her to have done was let the
court know that the needs of out family
were beyond her poor training and that
she had misrepresented herself. My advice
is to never allow the court to appoint her
as a parent coordinator for your family.
She is not a a psychologist and is a
angry, defensive and vindictive person. If
you are unlucky enough to get stuck with
her....challenge her credentials and
competence. She probably has a form
letter where she will immediately notify
the court of her withdrawing as parent
coordinator. It is the retaliation that is her
power and only defense!

Dr. Goodwin make me feel special and respected, and she is very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. I love that I can count on her to work with me for my situation.

I read one of the reviews that rated Dr Goodwin very poorly so I felt I had to respond since I feel she is very good. I'm sure the person who rated Dr Goodwin poorly just didn't like what she had to say. Dr. Goodwin tells it like it is and you may not like what she has to say but she is speaking the truth.

Carla Goodwin has gone out of her way to make me feel special and respected, and has always been very sympathetic to my situation. I've never seen more kindness and empathy anywhere else. She goes out of her way to make everyone feel equally respected and cared for. She doesn't just sit and listen but provides helpful advice that could never be misconstrued as manipulation. I have always been aware that I was under the care of a professional, and the care she has shown makes me feel like I'm more than just a patient. She has helped me with many traumatic events in my life and didn't just sit taking notes. As far as being dishonest in any way, I strongly doubt she has the capacity as I have always found her to be nothing but honest. I've always come out feeling better, more in control, level headed, and cathartic. I would highly recommend her and I have to others in need. Her associates speak highly of her. The restrooms at this provider's office were clean and well-maintained. You could tell that they cleaned them regularly.
