She helped me realize a few things about myself in a way I would be able to accept, reeling me in when I'd float out of the present moment. Perhaps it was my cooperation and willingness to really better my mindset and attain peace and clarity, but this was the most effective form of therapy I've experienced out of at least 6 or 7 therapists over the course of 11 years. The best thing was that she did not push medication on me, which really helped to facilitate my trust in her help.

My initial phone call to get seen what more like an interrogation and was a bit uncomfortable. I had to explain things "properly" to even get seen, and keyword the fact that part of my counseling had to be relationship related, because the lady was confused why I wanted help. Should it matter why or should it only matter that I was strong enough to call in the first place? So, I was supposed to go in for my first appointment today, and I just called to verify the time only to find out that the counselor rescheduled me for the afternoon. They asked me if that was ok. Was I going to get a phone call or did it have to take me to verify my appointment to know that a reschedule had already taken place? I will see how it goes today to change this review, but so far I'm not comfortable and my anxiety has only increase yet I haven't even been seen. If things go well, I will surely change this review for the better :)

I had only one appointment at this site, and the counselor I saw is not listed here. I just called to reschedule my appointment because I have a family funeral to go to. The receptionist was most rude, telling me I cannot get my meds refilled and there is no way I can get an appointment before they run out!! She refused to listen to anything else I had to say. I told her her attitude was unacceptable and that she was treating me like a drug addict!!! Then she hung up.. Very unprofessional!!!! . . . . I will not go back.

Shoreline Counseling Group is a friendly enviroment. When I walked in the door, I felt comfortable being there. The receptionist was pleasant and the therapist listened to me. I will keep going back. Great place

Pleasant environment. Courteous reception. Well-meaning counselor, but unable to refract our comments in a way that allowed us to move forward. Perhaps us? Perhaps not?

The therapist we saw was all-about-her, condescending, and her bedside manner was shocking. She had told my daughter she'd end up being taken away to a group home, she did not know how to LISTEN. She made assumptions. She sent me up to the second floor shrink who was nuts herself. She has a tick and she's telling me I need help. I cried and felt so awkward and ashamed, while she's over there typing up a storm, unable to control her face ticks. After hindsight? Be careful. These wimmin need help themselves.
