My husband abandoned me suddenly after 33 years of marriage. Barbara provided me with the support I needed to pick myself up, believe in myself again, and to create a hopeful future. She is such an empathetic listener and used a multitude of therapeutic tools to help me heal emotionally from the trauma of divorce and PTSD. I was able to turn my life and my mind around take useful action in the present. Today I am a grateful person who is excited about the possiblities my my life. Thank you, Barbara.

Barbara is so resourceful. If one solution doesn't work (I may not work as hard as I should with each homework assignment and therapy does take work!), she will have more waiting in line to try. She's continually learning new and updated information too. Some things have totally changed me for good and I am so grateful. If you want a typical therapist to chat with, find someone else. If you want to hack your brain, see Barbara.

Best therapist I've seen in 10 years. Emdr and family/couple therapy. She's full of resources and always up on the latest modalities.

My son saw Dr. Belnap for emotional difficulties related to Seasonal Affective Disorder and difficulties adjusting to being in college far from home and not being able to come home for family support. My son is a computer science major with an emphasis in video game design. Dr. Belnap wasn't particularly helpful to begin with, but completely destroyed any trust and hope for progress when she told my son that video games have ruined his generation. That certainly did not boost his self worth. She knew his major so I cannot for the life of me understand why she would say such a thing. In essence, she believes that not only are he and his generation ruined (interpret worthless) but it is because of my son's chosen field. Fortunately my son doesn't believe that is true, but it did not help him feel better about himself. I would NOT recommend Dr. Belnap. At least not for young adults or adolescents.

Have been seeing her off and on, when I need extra help, for 7 years. She has helped me learn to cope with life on life's terms, and how to navigate the challenges of my disability with life.

Sometimes I don't go back for months, and then feel the need for a "booster shot". I am always welcomed back, and the same sincere help is there.

I totally recommend Ms. Belnap!
