To the lady who lost her kitty, first off I'm sorry for your family's loss. It's terrible to lose a pet. Next I have to say that I worked for this clinic for several years and know that the doctors use the safest anesthesia procedures for surgeries and that the staff automatically calls the very next day to check on post sugery patients once they have gone home, to make sure there are no post surgical complications and conitnue to call until they are able to confirm Of all the clinics I have worked foyour pet has recovered from surgery and doing well. Unfortunately, it's been my experience that not all clients resppond to our calls or messages. In my 16 years in the industry, this clinic takes the top, in compassionate care from the doctors and the staff, they go above and beyond to help clients deal with every situation imaginable. It is true, like in human medicine, that some patients, no matter how careful you are can die during surgery or develop post surgical complications, but these are few and far between. During my 6 years with Damascus vet, we never lost a patient during surgery, or post due to any surgical complication. Your dear kitty likely died from something completely unrelated to the spay, and I feel your pain, I really do...but it really is unfair to blame this clinic for your loss. Unless of course you had a necropsy performed at the specialty clinic and they confirmed that the spay was was the actual cause, but then you did say 36 hours later, so I assume your kitty, seemed absolutley normal 24 hrs post surgery, which is what would be expected. Again, no matter the circumstances, I am truly sorry for your loss, I too have just lost my best friend of 15 yrs and I miss him dearly.

My cat was brought in for a routine spaying and died 36 hrs later. She had an exam and was deemed healthy just prior to the procedure. There was no vet on duty on a Wed at 8:00 so had to take her to a pet emergency where they put her down. They did not answer my questions, refund my money for the procedure, or send any condolences. Would NOT take your cat to this clinic.

I love that they never cancel their appointments last minute here. I can always count on them to be there for me. It's so refreshing to find a vet that isn't always overwhelmed by too many pets. They are able to spend as much time with you as you need and are never rushed off to see another pet. They were so kind and attentive to me. I didn't have to worry about them arguing with me, or contradicting what I had to say, which has been a problem for me at other places. I was completely at ease during my appointment here. They went to great lengths to make sure I was completely relaxed and comfortable the entire time.
