DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS HERE!! This is long but worth the read- I used to bring my dog here for grooming and sometimes boarding a couple times when our family went out of town. Every time I would pick my dog up he always seemed sick almost. And he was not playful, very down, didn’t want me to pick him up-very different from when I would drop my dog off. I didn’t think too much of it at the time. At one point my dog had gotten a little sicker than usual, nothing fatal, but we brought back him to Cypress to see what they could do. When they brought him out to us he was like a zombie. They assured us he was just tired and needed rest. When we brought him home he could barely move and could barely walk. He just sat up with a glazed look in his eyes, though they could barely open. We could tell something was wrong so we tried to pick him up to comfort him, but he would yell out when we tried to touch him, like it was painful for him. It wasn’t even a yell, but a mixture of crying and a loud moaning from the pain. We were trying to lightly pet him to comfort him, but we knew something was wrong so we immediately wrapped him up to bring him to the vet emergency care on Florida St. On the way there he started convulsing and it would happen every few minutes. When we arrived the staff immediately took him in, they were so great to us. They kept my family in a private waiting room. Eventually they came back and informed us that he had had so many seizures that at that point he was brain dead and there was nothing left to do but say our goodbyes. They brought him back wrapped in a blanket, still seizing as I picked him up crying to give him one last hug goodbye before they put him to sleep. It was a very traumatic experience for my entire family. It was not until about a year later when we decided we wanted another puppy to join our family. At the time, I never really thought it was Cypress Point’s fault for my dog’s death. My family kept saying they over medicated him, but I didn’t really believe it. so I brought our new puppy back to them. Whenever I dropped him off he never wanted to go in, he seemed scared. And one time when I came to pick him up, he had BLOOD coming from his anus! Under what situation would that EVER occur? I started to tell some friends and acquaintances and what I heard back was more horror stories of their own. People actually call this place CAMP AUSCHWITZ because of how horrible their pets have been treated. One lady even told me her dog contracted Hepatitis from Cypress Point. So that was the last straw. I started to take my dog to Northlake Veterinary Hospital on HWY 59 and they are absolutely AMAZING. My dog actually runs to the door with his tail wagging in excitement because the staff there are all super compassionate and very sweet towards the animals they care for. I have been so happy with them and so has my dog, who is completely healthy! Please please please don’t make the same mistake I did by bringing my pets to Cypress Point. If you truly care for your pets DO NOT BRING THEM HERE.

My animals are my babies, and I wouldn't trust my babies with just any vet clinic. But at Cypress Point Animal Hospital, I know my babies are receiving the best medical care possible. Dr. Pfister is not only extremely knowledgeable, but his heart is full of love for animals. He will go above and beyond in caring for someone's baby. I have known him to go back and forth thru out the night to check on a sickly animal or even bring it home to ensure 24 hr monitoring. My mother in law was extremely upset because her vet told her she had to either pay thousands of dollars for a back surgery or put her baby down because her dog all of a sudden could not walk. I told her to go see Dr. Pfister at Cypress Point Animal Hospital for a second opinion, and he can fix him. With a little medicine, Dr. Pfister had this dog walking within a few days and with no surgery needed. So if you truly care about your babies, bring them to a vet that really knows his stuff: Dr. Pfister at Cypress Point Animal Hospital.

I bring my dog first week of August ,2014..He had a tick under his ear, I ask the front desk how much it cost to remove the tick..She said,it is free of service since they will only remove it..THey look at the ear of my dog and they said, IT is not tick it is only a dirt..his ears are dirty. So, I went home, few weeks later the tick become bigger so I decided to come back again.Last August ,23 they remove the tick under the ear of my dog,I was surprised when the other woman who work in the front desk charge me 35.67$ just to remove the 1 tick in my dog ear. No,question how much they charge me..THe only thing I was mad is because they give a paper about the amount I paid but under to a different owner and different name of the dog. So,I told the woman, this is not my dog. She said, she knows but they only put it there but that is the right amount that i have to pay..I ask her to change it,She put it under on my name and change it. I thought it was a reciept but I noticed it is an estimate of a Preventic collar same amount of what I paid for. So,I went again there and ask the invoice of it..same thing happen, they could not find a record under my name about my dog...they give me again the invoice under the different owner and different dog..I told her, that was not my dog..I told her I inquire first how much it cost to remove the tick..u said free service, since my 2 dogs was been there..and now they charge me 35.67$ she said they exam the ear... Exam for what?it only took 1min.to remove the tick...They change then the receipt under my name but it says....EXAM BRIEF" but different amount 35.54 I Paid 35.67...iM not satisfied with there service..They are not doing their job..I got 4 Dogs and I'm changing a vet, never goes back there.

Every one in this clinic is extremely friendly, not only to me but my dog as well. My dog hurt her knee, the doctor and his tech were both very gently with her. They were also very thorough with the exam to make sure they covered all the bases. They made sure she felt very safe and comfortable during her exam. The doctor explained all the medicine for me so that I would understand, the follow up visit was just as good. I never felt rushed or like I was just there for him to make money. I would highly recommend this vet to anyone in the area!

They offer great service; however, their business practices are unethical. I had two instances when they billed me for services that I did not approve. The first time, I thought it was an oversight, and I ignored it. The second time, I complained. In the first instance, my dog has sensitive skin and she had hot spots. Without consulting me, they gave my dog an antibiotic and injected her with fluids because her skin was inflamed and she "seemed" dehydrated. The second time, my other dog had a sprain, and they said it would be $200 for the exam and x-rays. When, upon examination of initial x-rays, they, WITHOUT CONSULTING ME, performed $300 worth of additional x-rays for what they would eventually diagnose as a sprain and expected full payment. When we complained, they took $100 off and said it was a misunderstanding. This is not a misunderstanding. This is a regular practice, and it is extortion.

Great service and excellent care for the animals! They cared for my husband's dog during Katrina and the doctor stayed personally to make sure all the animals were cared for! Now, they care for our dog and cat, and my cat doesn't even mind staying here!
