We left took her to Cornell they did another surgery to remove the mess over did . Ober is mean and rude . Money is all he cares about . Yes it is cheaper but you get what you pay.

There are reviews of this vet by people who clearly don’t know the difference between being kind and caring, and being smarmy. Dr. Ober is not smarmy. If you want your pet cared for, Dr. Ober is your man. If you want your soul massaged, there are plenty of churches that go in for that kind of thing.

I have been breeding and showing dogs for over 30 years. Dr Ober is the best vet I have ever found. His first priority are the animals, period. He is skilled and knowledgeable and takes great care of his patients. It is such a relief to know that if one of my animals has an emergency Dr Ober will do his absolute best to see them. On a sub note, his prices are very competitive.

We have been using Candor Animal Care for the last five years. Dr. Ober and Jen work hard, long hours. They have spayed and neutered over 1700 cats, for Paws and Claws , trap /neuter /return. Most vets are not interested in working with wild, feral cats. Dr. Ober and Jen are truly above and beyond most vet clinics.

I have to give this vet a five star review after a year of seeing him with several animals. I am a breeder and for the past 6 years I have spent many thousands of dollars at my vets office close to where I live and also in emergencies have spent many more thousands not to mention the many thousands I have lost in kittens. Not any of these vets close to home have been "on spot" with diagnosis when problems arise with birthing. I kept having stillbirth kittens but not one of the vets in my area could come to any conclusion except that "sometimes this happens." But it was happening every time! I personally had to ask to send a stillborn to Cornell University to find the cause of so many stillborn babies. Long story... very high numbers of E Coli was the cause. Neighbors septic runs into our well since they put in a new septic. Yes, I figured that problem out too with a simple water test, 4 water companies, and had the Health Department out. Very high count of E Coli we were all drinking. I was on medication often to kill bacteria in my own intestines. Not one vet in my area cared to even guess what was going on but knew I was having many still born kittens that grew to full term and died coming through the birth canal. The vet I normally went to said it's natural to have E Coli in our system! That is a true statement but not the high amount that was found through testing the water. Dr. Ober doesn't even have this information to this point. As much as I have learned to distrust any vet at this point he has done so much good for my animals and literally saved one of my cats lives that I never thought could possibly make it through surgery. She had the largest Pyometra ever seem by him and other vets fluffed this problem off. She was down to 4.2 lbs and a very sick girl. Dr. Ober seems to know more about breeding than the others and has explained so much to me that no one has ever taught me. I am trusting someone again but still cautious. I think I finally found an all around excellent vet who truly cares about the animals. Some have complained about his bedside manner. He's not a bad guy if you listen to him. He just seems to care more about the animals than people and I understand that! Caring for animals is his job, not people. So if you have thin skin go to someone who is more worried about your feelings than your animal. I personally choose my animal over my feelings.
