The staff at Bay Pointe are awesome. They go the extra mile to make sure you get what you need in a professional and very compassionate manner. They are as professional as they are kind. Dr. Higgins is just as outstanding as the staff. He is caring and takes a serious interest in the wellbeing of those he treats. He is family inclusive as needed, yet respects confidentiality. He explains the purpose and rationale of his recommended treatment plans and has a very pleasant, professional and calming demeanor. I highly recommend him and the services provided by Bay Point Behavioral Health Services, Inc.

I like the Nurse Practicioner, Okoro. However, the office staff is hit or miss. Sometimes I can get a refill on my Rx by the next day and sometimes it takes over a week. In those cases, I call to check and then they ask when I called it in. Sometimes they just check if its ready and sometimes they check with Okoro herself. I think in those cases, they lost the message and won't admit it :(

I was a patient of PA, Okoro. First of all, when I made my initial appointment, I liked the DR that I chose. However, the office, AND the doctor neglected to tell me that it was his last day at the practice. I was assigned to the PA, which is fine.... Initially, I liked her, however, when it came time to refill my prescription, she denied the refill and refused to call me back.

I had to complain to the office manager before the PA would call me back, which I missed. When I tried calling her back, I got the receptionist again, who for the life of him is slow as dirt at taking messages. Someone happened to overhear my name and said she'd speak to me.

The PA refused my RX because she wanted to come in for a follow up appointment, which would have been fine if they'd been able to get me in any time soon. The earliest available was over a week away. I have now been without my medication for five days.

I wonder had this been an emergency or had I been in crisis would I have received the same treatment?

The office manager has yet to have the courtesy to return my call.
