I have been taking my kids to Best Friends for 6 years now and I wouldn't even consider taking my kids somewhere else.

I can't explain how delighted I am with their services. I have used them all (vet services, grooming, boarding).

I used to work in a vet clinic many years ago so I drilled Dr. Sue before bringing my kids to her clinic as hard as I would have drilled a child care provided. I was extremely impressed with her honest and open answers. I have seen every vet that is there (and one that isn't there any longer) and feel comfortable with all of them. I have seen a few staff changes. And they keep getting good folks. My kids are always nervous going to the vet (aren't you when you go somewhere you don't want to be?) but the staff is fabulous about their treatment and my kids like everyone as much as I do.

My Boo (mixed breed dog) suffered from extreme separation anxiety when I adopted her and still does on occasion, but I'm very happy with everyone at Best Friends. I can't be with her all of the time during treatment but, on a general rule, for your basic treatments, they have no problem with me being there (not being there is usually only required for the items that owners aren't comfortable with which makes your babies even more anxious). Yes, it costs money (so does my doctor). But the prices are very reasonable. My dog broke her foot, was treated for heartworm and severe intestinal distress. All were treated, and very well, by Dr. Sue and the staff. Boo loves the people there and I trust her judgement. Orin, one of my cats, had to be treated for a severe infection due to a bad bite on her neck from playing with Mayhem (my other cat) and she fell in love with everyone, too.

Yes, vet bills can cost a bit. But a heck of a lot less that it would be for a human. It's an expense you have to pay with pets. But Best Friends is very reasonably priced and on par with others in the area. The thing that keeps me coming back, and bringing in pets that aren't even my own, is the staff. They are professional, knowledgeble, caring and just some good people. The doctors know their stuff and are great with the animals. Yes, they will recommend services. Yes, some of those services can be a bit pricey. But they don't force you to do anything and are truly understanding and sympathetic if something just can't be done. And I have been scolded for not doing what I should have (stop feeding people food). It just reiterated the fact that they care about my kids.

If ever I have a question, they are there. If I need a recommendation, they are there. If I need to hear something that I don't want to when it comes to my four-legged kids, they tell me.

Not only do I recommend them but I would not consider anyone else. When I adopted my cats, I had to take them somewhere else for the mandatory shots and neuter/spay. Though the facility was nice, as was their staff and doctors, they weren't Best Friends.

Best Friends is not only a best friend for animals, but for their owners as well and, unless an emergency required I take my services elsewhere, I would not consider another clinic now or in the future.
