MY FIRST TIME VISITING GEM ON APRIL 25,2023. I APPRECIATED THE SERVICE PROVIDED. THE OWNER WAS VERY FRIENDLY AND INFORMATIVE. THE PERSON THAT DID THE REPAIRS DID A GREAT AND EFFICIENT JOB. WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

My Uncle, who is an 88 year old amputee took his motorized wheelchair to be repaired and was very disappointed when he found out that the chair was not repaired after a $200 repair bill. The man told my Uncle that he wrapped the main chord with black tape and changed the battery. He did wrap the chord but did not change the battery. And the wheelchair is still not repaired, it still stop and goes. My Uncle called the man back to complain and the man started yelling at him and claimed my Uncle spoke to someone else and hung up on him. Now my Uncle is incapacitated and unable to attend his Doctor's appointments besides dealing with his disability. And we're still trying to find a repair shop. I wouldn't recommend Gem Restoration if my life depended on it and I will also complain to wheelchairusa.com to tell them to stop being associated with them. There should be zero stars.

I would and did not do business with these people. The owner was extremely rude and very aggressive. My questions were not answered as the staff I refer to was either on the phone or trying to make a sale.
It amazes me how a business such as this could survive as long as they have. They're major concern are the dollar signs not good customer service which in turn would lead to a sale.
I traveled from Long Island to their location in Flushing, New York at 176-39 Union Turnpike. What a waste of gas and time.

I was never able to relax during the phone call. I was on edge the whole time. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. The owner was extremely rude on the phone and his attitude was very negative. Hard to believe that a company like this can stay in business treating potential customers like they did. The objective should NOT be ONLY PROFIT in helping sick/elderly people. Makes me wonder how they treat their own relatives.
